New guy here with an Outerbanks.

My wife got me the rough country lift kit for my birthday and I just read all of the sway bar issues that this kit has had in the past so I thought about ordering the HRG sway bar links but wasn't sure if this would correct the issue.

Has anyone done this in the past?

Just wanted to give an update to this post for those who may have questions about the kit and how it is.

I must say I after looking at the RC swaybar links and brackets I could see why there were failures and comparing them to the HRG ones it is a night and day difference. The sway bar links are super sturdy and I like the grease fitting.

So far I put about 1500 miles on them without any loose parts *knocking on wood*.

If I recall correctly, the original person on the board that had RC swaybar link and bracket issues, the cause being incorrect installation of the swaybar link brackets. The brackets were basically installed backwards.

Some people shouldn't spin wrenches without complete understanding of the project.

I do agree, the HRG components look to be well made.

Yeah I didn’t want to take any chances. The cost of the hrg ones were cheaper than doing it twice

Just a quick update!

Went offroading in order to get to a potential rental property in Kentucky and after a few hundred miles I developed a clunk.

Checked everything and noticed the lower bolt on the HRG link could have been a little tighter and the clunk persisted.

I ended up getting the grease gun out and greasing the links sure enough clunk disappeared. After hours of searching for the gremlin it was a simple fix. When I was going through the creeks, up and down rocky areas and going through the mud it must have somehow pushed the grease out.

If you have the HRG links keep an eye out for that.
