When we go on short family trips, we need to carry both our 55 lb dog and our stuff in the back. I've been stacking our duffel bags etc on one side, leaving most of the floor space for the dog, but the pile flops over on the dog if it's not bungeed.
I found this nice divider system from...
For a month or so I've been unable to use CarPlay with my iPhone 12 because the connection is very intermittent. Charging is flaky as well.
I believe the issue is with the Bronco's electronics. I have tried 5 different cables including using both the USB and USB-C connections on the dash. Both...
That little Courier is sweet, love those old mini-trucks. Sorry about the Bronco, one of my local dealers has 28 BS's on the lot, surprising they can still get a big markup.
I was with some acquaintances in one guy's Outback going up Kingsbury Grade in Tahoe to a MTB trail. Around the corner comes a Tesla Model X downhill, passing traffic in the wrong lane at about 90 MPH. Our driver was paying attention and swerved off to the shoulder, otherwise it would have been...
Platform racks are great for 1-2 bikes, beyond that there is too much mass sticking out behind the rear axle. I had a 3-tray RockyMounts and recently swapped for a 4-bike North Shore Rack upright. It keeps the brake lights clear and keeps the weight closer to the rear axle for less bouncing. The...
Around here they don't need to see anything. They will break into pickup trucks with NRA stickers on the assumption there is a gun under the seat. I had a bum break into my VW Golf when I did have cordless tools under the cargo cover--no way he knew they were there, he even pulled down half of...
I will never get railroaded into using Safelite again, 3+ weeks after the damage they have canceled my appointment a second time at the last minute. They say they can't get the parts.
So I called my local guy; parts are available at his distributor and he can install tomorrow.
I set up an insurance claim which of course is operated by Safelite. I had an appointment for a week and a half, and they canceled a few hours before because they didn't have the parts. That was yesterday, they can't tell me when it will be ready.
I imagine they are using an aftermarket glass...
Don't overthink it. The charging system is smart and will vary the voltage depending on battery state of charge and current demand.
I had a USB adapter w/ voltmeter on mine and I frequently got readings over 15V while stopped. I suspect the calibration on the meter was bad, never bothered to...
I'd second this especially if you're tall. It's otherwise a great family car. Will handle the roads you mentioned with ease, if you have any doubt go with the Badlands for the AT tires. Easy to clean interior, lots of cargo space, and one of the safest compact SUVs on the road.
My kids are 11...
It may have something to do with their dealer quotas. They might need to sell 100 cars in a month to get their bonus from Ford (this is how they make money selling cars at invoice or less). If they have already met their quota 3 days before the end of the month, they may want to delay the sale...
That is really annoying. Also doesn't help Ford's case against dealers who are putting obscene markups on them.
Look for a Badlands, no recall on the 2.0 motor.
I'm not in TN, that's just a reference to a Tom Waits song. Happened in San Leandro CA which is just south of Oakland. Property crime is rampant in broad daylight. If you aren't bleeding the cops aren't coming, no exaggeration, they say "call your insurance company". Kind of wishing I was in TN...
Mine does this on occasion. Probably something to do with the adaptive cruise. Sometimes when I release the brake after starting the engine it will get confused and try to pump the brake.
Went into Oh'Really Auto Parts to pick up some touch-up paint for my Transit...Came back out and someone had tried really hard to break in. Hit the driver's and passenger's window glass a total of 6 times most likely with a center punch, never broke through. I'm really getting my money's worth...
I was looking at Foresters because of the price, but really wanted a 4Runner. The CVT in the Forester was a non-starter though. So I waited.
Meanwhile, my dad had ordered a BS/BL when the build site went live. He waited patiently, but after about 5-6 months had gone by he gave up and bought a...
Good pics, will save a few people from having to roll around on the pavement..
BL has a metal guard over the evap canister which is concealed by the driver-side felt cover. I already tore my felt cover between a rock and this guard, and several folks with BB/OB trim have damaged their...
I bought a Dewalt 20V inflator on an impulse a couple years ago, and it is the most used cordless tool in my garage. Not only does it fill tires but it has a separate blower to inflate all the kids' floaty toys at the lake. It's reasonably fast to fill aired-down tires, but the best part is you...
