I take that to mean we are not the customers, dealerships are Ford's customers - the places with empty lots.

That's major damage and it just looks bad. What would a dealership think if they saw that on your trade in. That reminds me when I looked at a car listed as having slight hail damage and arrived to find a car with a surface more like a golf ball than anything else.

Most brand-affiliated leasing companies will allow you to keep your vehicle a number of extra months after the due date (at least in the good old days). Just call and ask - the worst they can say is no.
