From the picture above in post #4, the wiring colors don't seem to correspond with the ones shown in at least the 2022 wiring diagram (see attached). There is also this from the Owner's Manual:
SWITCHING THE HEATED WIPER PARK ON AND OFF (IF EQUIPPED)
When you switch the heated rear window on...
There was also another post where it was shown that the pan's access for the oil drain is in the correct place for the BS 1.5L with the 5.3 quart oil pan, but in the wrong spot for the 1.5L engines with the 6.6 quart capacity. See this thread: JCR Engine Skid Plate - feedback / review? | 2021+...
It's not a bad idea to have one, but it's more of a snide remark regarding the infamous "cracked injector" recall (which doesn't really deal with actual cracked injectors ... only a drain path for possible fuel leaks). It's kind of like me telling him that since he's a Mustang driver, to watch...
Back in '84, I was driving my 1969 VW Baja Bug when a guy in an oncoming 1970 station wagon turned left right in front of me. I locked the brakes and skidded for a whopping 26 ft before impact. I hit the station wagon broadside at the firewall and ended up pushing the windshield out of my car...
Go with the heavier gauge just to be on the safe side. On my truck's 7.3L Powerstroke, the built in block heater is 1000-1100 watts. I used to run the extension cord to a 15-amp timer and set it to turn on 3 hours prior to when we needed to leave. I also ran the truck's wiring to an outlet...
Even though I'm not the OP, it' probably this one: Autostop Eliminator for the 2021-2023 Ford Bronco Sport
I am currently running one of these on my 2022 BS BB. Cheers!
Based on everything I've read on these forums, I'd place my wager on a bad battery. If you have to replace it, make sure it's with an AGM type battery. Cheers!
8000 on my 2022 Big Bend and none (knock-on-wood) of the brake noise issues yet. The brake dust on the front gets bad in a hurry though. I'll just have to wash it more often. Cheers!
For those that do get trailers, my advice is to take the whole setup to a certified scale and have things weighed so you know where you're actually at. Have a full tank of fuel in the BS as well. Cheers!
I probably could have been clearer on my wording. On both vehicles you have to turn it OFF on every re-start of the vehicle (after turning off the vehicle) by the driver, not by the Auto Start/Stop feature. Cheers!
Differing opinions, but the $90 I spent on the Auto Start/Stop Eliminator is the best money I've spent on the BS so far. It's very nice not having to remember to turn it to OFF every start. My 2023 Highlander doesn't have a plug-n-play version for it, so I still have to manually turn it OFF...
Shoot, none of these threads are that old! Some of the diesel forums I'm on have folks responding to threads that have been dead since 2005 and before
Cheers!
Oil changed at my dealership and also having the rearmost quarter glass replaced (something struck it unbeknownst to me and shattered it :frown:). $915!!! ($375 for glass, $180 for panel that has to be removed and can't be reused).
