I found a new part on ebay last night for $100 Inc shipping so I bought it, that was the best deal I could find.
So, just one more question, I watched the video you linked, thank you, the Tech unplugged / took out something, I believe he said it was something that wasn't needed anymore and this...
I know if you go onto Fords website to build a Badlands, you can add the keypad as an option, I believe these are dealer installed pieces, so I would assume the harness is there.
That's awesome news, I feel confident I can do the install myself, but it's been a minute since I used Forscan, so in the bodyCM you just enable the keyless keypad? Do you remember what exactly you what ir was called you enabled.
Thanks for the response, I'll order a keypad today.
Installed:
Light up cup holders.
Hood struts.
Hood insulation pad.
Perimiter plus alarm.
Tectico side indicators.
Charger cubby USB's /LED (Ambient light).
Rubber floor mats.
Hopefully if the weather is OK tomorrow, I'll install the Ford low profile window vents..
My outerbanks came without the illuminated keypad, I would really like to have this as an option, I know I can do the install myself, but does it have to be programmed by Ford, or can it be enabled with Forscan, or does it even need enabling in the software.
Thanks
So as the topic title, I want to install the Stop/Start Eliminator and a Ford Perimiter Plus security system, from what I gather they both use the OBD connector, is it possible to install both?
That red is nice, what colour Badlands did you get?
What made you decide to go with the Badlands rather than keep the Outer Banks?
How did those side marker leds hold up?.
What are those white looking Leds things for near the side marker lights.
