Like the post below me put up a link. It is easy to learn. The download is free with a free short license. The yearly is only $12.00. On my 2023 BS, I put 245 tires instead of the 225's that came on it and after checking the speed difference, it was so minimal that I left it alone. It was...
I will. However, unless something goes sideways, I wouldn't know. I never had any issues yet. Also my car only has 2200 miles on it. If anything different shows up, I will post it here.
Thanks
I had the recall installed this morning at my house. The technician arrived at the prescribed time and had it done in about 20 minutes. I did have to use Forscan to turn off the double honk when exiting a running vehicle. That took about 5 minutes.. The technician said there were actually two...
I got the notice yesterday that the fix is ready. Good luck getting an appointment.
Update: I called Ford this morning and they have a mobile unit that will come to my house tomorrow morning and install the update. Unbelievable.
Ok. The Forscan turn off the auto stop/start but doesn't disable the switch light. It doesn't activate the auto stop/start feature. It just act like it does. I thought it hadn't changed anything until I drove down the road and stopped for a bit. It never entered the start/stop mode.
I got the recall from my dealer and CarFax. However, the fix, BCM reprogram, is not out yet.
I know I can disable the stop/start setting with the button on my dash. However, I seem to forget that. I am wondering if I could turn it off with Forscan?
I also traded in my 2023 Big Bend for a 2024 Badlands. I couldn't pass up this deal. It had 500 miles on it at the dealer. Someone had bought it and sold it back. The dealership had to sell it to me as used. Window sticker was$44000. They dropped $10000 off and with the equity I had on my 2023...
That's what I have been thinking. I like my vehicle. I was a DITW Chevy truck owner for 90% of my life until I bought a Colorado. It was the little things tha GM knew not to do but did them anyway in manufacturing. So went to Ford and have stayed. Nothing is perfect.
I keep looking at the NTSB website and no recalls on my BS because it was built outside the recall parameters. However, I expect to get one. Mine was built about a month before I bought in March 2023. I like my BS but when I was looking to buy I was only trying to lower my mpg which was a bit...
I bought different tires for my Bronco Sport at Discount Tires. When I went in for the first rotate and balance, the salesman tried to sell me new lug nuts. They were incredibly priced at $70.00 without being locking lugs. UHhh no. However I did look in here and find that there is an issue from...
I recently put a plastic hose in the rubber hollow seal in the one nearest the windshield. It was a tight fit but I used baby powder and it fit fairly easy. It made hardly minimal improvement but it helped. Then I opened up the rubber hood bumpers all the way. Actually that made it much worse...
Great choice. The Subarus are great vehicles. We've had about 10 of them over the years. That's including 5 WRX's and an STI. The Subaru's do have a long mileage lifetime but at 200 k, it is probably a good time to trade. The comparisons between are interesting... Same hp, same size in the garage.
