  1. Adding Tow Hitch

Thanks ! That is just what I needed. Not sure how i missed that at first. They make it look pretty basic.
  2. Adding Tow Hitch

I got the hitch installed on the BB last weekend. It was just doable by myself. Some help would have been nice. Now I just need to figure out how to get to the tail light wiring to hook up the pigtail for the trailer. I opened the rear hatch and looked for a way to remove an inside panel to...
  3. Roll Call

This was at Shelburne Bay . Sorry for the late reply.
  4. Adding Tow Hitch

Nice job and thanks for the pics and info. . Did you have to lower the exhaust or was there enough room.
  5. Roll Call

Nice South Shore Big Bend ! I'm totally loving the Kodiak Brown.
  6. My Kodiak Brown BB with Joysale Roof Rack

Yes it did come with the cross bars. I like the way it sits rather low compared to some other cargo racks. I plan on storing cargo in the racks! It is mostly for looks but I will be hauling a kayak from time to time. I do plan on camping and fishing with the Bronco Sport so extra gear storage...
  7. Steep Roads , Which Gear

Thanks for all the replys. I think you ALL of you are Amazing ! I have no doubt that we all have been perusing our owners manuals. Thing is we have different set ups in our different models. Can't diss someone that can't find a button that isn't even there. Especially when they are trying to...
  8. Roll Call

As the totally unofficial president of the Vermont BS chapter, located in Huntington, I say we need some pics. I'll post a pic of my Big Bend atop the App Gap this weekend. Who's going to be the first one to drive up Mt Mansfield or better yet Mt Washington in NH.
  9. Steep Roads , Which Gear

I agree. With my Cherokee I would put it in second driving down long steep grades but I never put it in Low unless I was going less than 10 mph.
  10. Steep Roads , Which Gear

I probably should have said that the gear selection is PRND and a button, L, for low. My first impression is that the low gear was for slower speeds. Guess I'll just hit some scenic roads this weekend and see what works best.
  11. Steep Roads , Which Gear

Thanks for all the responses. It seams that there is no definitive answer at this time. I think I will send an inquiry to Ford and see what they have to say about it. In the meantime I may hit the App Gap and try out sport mode for the descend. I do know that the sport mode is very lively on...
  12. My Kodiak Brown BB with Joysale Roof Rack

Here are a couple pics of my Big Bend in Kodiak Brown. I love the Yakima roof platforms but the price was just too much for me. I ended up buying a clearance roof rack made / sold by Joysale purchased on WalMart.com. It seems well made and being aluminum it wont rust in two years like the steel...
  13. Seen Bronco Sport Outer Banks in Kodiak Brown

I get a lot of compliments on my Kodiak Brown Big Bend. The chameleon affect is what I really like best about it.
  14. Napier Sportz SUV tent on Bronco Sport

Nice set up. I see the mattress in the tent. Are you sleeping in the Outer Banks as well or just using it for storage?
  15. Bronco Sport Big Bend

Nice looking BB. I really like those Yakima platforms.
  16. How are you finding front seat size and comfort?

I love my Big Bend . The seats are more firm than comfortable. I have never had a Ford that had comfy seats. Hope I don't get banned but that is my limited experience with six Ford vehicles over the last forty years.
  17. Steep Roads , Which Gear

Yes, I am talking about not burning up my brakes while going down a steep long paved road / state highway. In my older vehicles I just put them in second gear to use the engine to help keep the vehicle from going too fast. I did see that I could put it in low at any speed but that kind of...
  18. Steep Roads , Which Gear

Hello everyone at tha BSF. I have a quick question. Do put my transmission in Low for going down the App Gap or Lincoln Gap ( in Vermont )? What about some of those really long steep roads out West? I've been looking but could not find an answer. Thanks, Burke
