I was unaware of the legalities of it all when I posted the question yesterday. I’m a former CJ guy, so I’m new the the whole Bronco world. Liking it so far though!
I was going to assume that in 5 years or so, for would come out with a soft top version of the BS and possibly rebrand that...
Ok… so I just want to get a General Feeling for everyone’s opinion…
How long do you think it will be until Ford rebrands the Bronco Sport and starts calling it the Scout?
I would still do the holes, but get some black rubber washers that can conceal the hole if the hole diameter is wider than the light unit. That will also help reduce water collecting around the electrical
Mine was definitely a little off too… had to cut a little more in the bumper than what I originally wanted… and took a rubber mallet to pound the brackets a bit.
I got some rubber edging to make the additional cutting look a bit cleaner finished… and it worked out well because I did the...
i just went to the ford website and checked my VIN with their recall lookup. Didn’t “say” my VIN was recalled, but it had the announcement on the top of the page and “STATUS: INCOMPLETE”. So I’m assuming that to be safe, I’ll just have it checked. And afterwards, if I check my VIN again, the...
Anyone else feel like they are experiencing the scene from Tommy Boy where Chris Farley crashes all the model cars when talking about their brake pads when it comes to all the BS issues?
Ironically I just got my 10k mark for first service. Called to schedule that, oil change, and recall check… dealership didn’t even have a clue about the recall. But checked my VIN and sure enough, it’s telling me to take it in.
ok, step 1- remove the air intake tube running to the air filter:
there are 2 push pins located in the small circles. Take a flat head and pry the top up enough to loosen the tension, then take the flathead and pry under the whole tab to remove. The connection to the air filter box (big...
this firewall pass through drops just to the top right of the passenger fuse box. I untwisted a metal shirt hanger and used It to poke through from the inside, then taped the wire to the end, and pulled from the engine side.
You can get your finger inside the rubber gasket a bit from the...
It started with the raptor lights and expanded into an entire light project. I was asked what the large lights were, so I answered.
Then we all started talking about wiring strategies. It’s how discussions go
I figured with the rising success of online shopping with places like Carvana and Shift, actual dealerships would be doing anything to get customers on their lots, including price matching and incentives.
I had the same issue happen to me. Was working with a dealer who swears “no additional markup above invoice” and blah blah blah.
I built my own on ford.com, found out that the dealership was charging $500 more per added options packages that was on thenBS I was looking at… totaling $1500 more...
That seems like a lot of excess wire running behind areas that you don’t need to access, unless you’re using it for interior lighting?
if your mounting your wireless controller in the engine bay, the only wire you’re going to need to run into the main cabin is your turn key power supply. You’re...
i would just pull back the fabric under carriage/wheel wells. Tuck the wire in, zip tie in a few places, and pop the fabric back into place. Be careful of the jack support spots, don’t want to pinch the wire if you ever need to jack the car up and potentially tear it. Just follow the metal body...
I have not had this issue. I have the NiLight 6 gang, fuse tap has original 10amp + 5amp on the tap. Start/stop has had no effect on the power to the backlit
what are you trying to power?
I pushed my wire straight through the passenger side firewall. It’s just above the fuse box. A quick punch through will get you under the hood and you can run it to the driver side from there.
I have my relay controller on my driver side, and that’s the easiest way...
