You can try using sport mode, this will hold lower gears longer to accelerate faster.
I have the 1.5L engine also and don't have a problem with speed merging on to a highway.
The dealership told me the belt wasn't covered under warranty.
The second time the water pump was replaced I payed for the new belt and they put it on.

This parts breakdown labels 2 catalytic converters.
Do you have a before and after picture of the BS? If this was just cosmetic damage at a body shop the pictures should give you a decent idea of what was done.

It looks like it just has pads or suction cups to rest against the side of the door. I would think that this would leave dents in the panel after standing on it.

I have been wondering this also. Sometimes I have noticed when I have the blower on and the "A/C" indicator light is not lit that the air coming out the vents is definitely a lot colder and less humid that the outside air.
If you are talking about the gas pump icon with a triangle pointing to the driver side, that is just indicator that it is the side that gas fill door is on so you know which side to pull up to the gas pump on.
I don't think the spare tire has the TPMS in it.
So the low PSI reading you are getting would be of the flat tire you took off.
Also it takes a few miles of driving for the sensors to be read by the vehicle and updated.
