  1. Bronco Sport Flat Tire Experience Using Ford Roadside Assistance

Yeah. And the other thing to consider is the revs per mile difference when installing a different-size spare. This will cause the differential to act like you're cornering all the time, which can lead to diff failure. I haven't read this part of the BS owner's manual yet, but previous Ford...
  2. Bronco Sport Flat Tire Experience Using Ford Roadside Assistance

Thanks for the update on cost. My experience was in 2018 on a 2008 Expedition. I’m very glad to learn that prices have come down. By nearly half! Still looking at $50 per wheel, which could shock some tire shoppers, but it’s now only half the shock. Good idea to replace at 5 years. I...
  3. Bronco Sport Flat Tire Experience Using Ford Roadside Assistance

I don't think the spare has a TPM or else the dash display would show five pressures instead of just four. With the spare on the ground, the TPM receiver at that location doesn't get a signal so it turns on the alarm. I don't believe that high pressure will excite the alarm. The dirty little...
  4. Bronco Sport Flat Tire Experience Using Ford Roadside Assistance

I always keep my spare 5 psi or more above the cold tire spec, simply because the spare doesn't get checked as often as the tires on the ground. Roadside, it's usually easier to let air out of a tire than put it in. Always carry a tire guage in the glove box.
  5. Vehicle stolen from dealer lot.

Since most everyone on this forum is the first owner of their vehicle, and also the first user of the Ford Pass app with that vehicle, my comment is not directly applicable but is certainly related to auto theft. If you ever purchase a previously-owned Ford that has previously been associated...
  6. Any regrets or recommendations?

When I received my Badlands in April 2021, Ford was offering program #38158 which was $500 of accessories for no cost. I don't know if that program is still active but you should ask your dealer about it or any other non-advertised incentive. My paperwork says the program end date was 7/6/21...
  7. Any regrets or recommendations?

I wish I would have ordered the optional tires on my Badlands, but I didn't like the pictures of the optional wheels that came with the optional tires. Oh well, I can always upgrade the tires. The other thing to seriously think about is the NAV system. The Ford system is expensive ($795). In...
  8. Delay in power delivery

I agree with CXP that it's probably a fuel issue. If the folks experiencing the problem are buying pump regular fuel above 5000 ft, the octane rating is too low, possibly as low as 84, but generally 85 or 86. EcoBoost needs 87 octane as a minimum (according to the owners manual). I live in...
  9. Sync 3.4 Build 21098

I've been looking at the F150 and Explorer forums today. Many are posting continuing issues with 21098, including NOT fixing Travel Link issues. https://www.explorerforum.com/forums/threads/sync-21098-ota-available.494117/post-3897903 I'll still be watching this thread to see how it affects...
  10. Sync 3.4 Build 21098

Appreciate that you’re keeping us updated on 21098. Thanks !!
  11. onboard nav kinda sucks, right?

The Ford Nav updates are automatic and free. However, the Nav updates take FOR-EV-VER!! Connected to WiFi my update to Nav 2-20 took NINE FRIGGEN DAYS!! And, BTW, some functions shut off while the updates are in progress. Very, very frustrating. It's a lot easier to do the updates via...
  12. On this episode of, "Is this noise normal?"...

We certainly appreciate that you're keeping us all updated on your progress. So sorry that you had to give up your new car for three weeks.
  13. CarPlay stopped working

Strange things happen during OTA updates, which take forever. You can check which Sync3 version you have by going to Settings/General/About Sync. If you are running Version 3.4 Build 21020, there are many things that won't work correctly, especially SiriusXM Travel Link (if you have NAV). I got...
  14. On this episode of, "Is this noise normal?"...

The only irritating noise mine makes is the transmission noise discussed at length in this thread. Creaks and rattles that drive you crazy are not "normal".
  15. On this episode of, "Is this noise normal?"...

Thanks for the update on your noise issue. Regarding the Sirius issue: do you know what level software they installed? You can find this in Settings/General/about SiriusXM. Thanks
  16. On this episode of, "Is this noise normal?"...

Sorry you're having such troubles with your new BS. Me too with both issues. Very frustrating when the dealer plays dumb. There is a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) Number 21-2150 issued 5/12/2021 that addresses the Sync 3 problems, including Travel Link not working. Next time you're in...
  17. Can a front 180 degree camera be added to an OB?

I have a Badlands with Badlands package, which included the front camera. I really like having it, so I can see why everyone would want one. I don't know if the brackets and wiring are on your vehicle, but it's possible, I suppose. Also included in the production version is a camera washer...
