Mt '23 OBX didn't have either. I knew this last October, so I ordered an engine cover, and had it before I got the car. I forgot all about the hood insulation pad. I would definitely like one now. Are they available anywhere? Does anyone know a good part to order one?
Is this it?
Insulator...
Seeing that I don't do off road, my mods are different. Strictly for appearance.
1. Tint front door windows and windshield top.
2. Factory Floor Liners, rear bumper protector, sill protectors
3. Chrome mag wheels for summer use.
4. Engine cover, hood insulation pad...
I'll see Mark. I'll get a printout of the work they do. My problem started out with just the radio turning on by itself. Several Bronco Sport owners are seeing the same symptoms. Our situation progressed to the screen going black at times when driving, back up camera staying on, cannot pair...
I installed Redline hood struts about 1 month ago. Today I removed the factory hood support rod. Makes for a much cleaner look and could be re-installed if needed.
That plus the vehicle only has 600 miles on it. I'm not concerned. It's already getting better milage than my wife's Ecosport. Once I get the summer tires (with 35psi), and the full synthetic oil in it I'm sure it will improve. I'm taking a road trip to Atlanta in late April, and then we'll see.
When I had my '14 Escape Titanium, I belonged to the Escape forum. There was a company that made a belly pan with doors to access the oil drain plug and oil filter without removing the pan itself. Maybe someone will pick up on this if enough Bronco Sports hit the road.
I have a '23 OBX. I'm 78 years old and drive pretty conservatively. I did my first mileage check with 600 miles on the vehicle and got just over 24mpg. All city driving.
UPDATE
The dealer had to consult with the sync folks. Supposedly they figured out the answer and the car goes back in this Friday (3/10). I'll post the results when I know. I reached out to the Ford Motor Co rep on this site about this issue. He called me, took all the info, and followed up...
Perfect combination in my opinion. That's exactly how I do it myself. Only difference is that I still do it myself. I'm 79 though, so I might have to start going to the dealer soon.
Unfortunately, I didn't. I already had bought and installed the other type. This one would have been more practical in my opinion. Moral of story. Shop around before you buy.
If these came out a few months ago, I would definitely get them. However, I just installed the Tectico side marker kit and wired it as a turn signal so now it would be overkill for me.
Remember this is "normal" conditions. Lots of off-roading, dirt and dusty roads etc. could reduce that number greatly. Pull the filters yourself. Put a lit light bulb behind them. If you can still see light coming through, you're good to go. If not, go to a auto parts store and change the filter...
