  1. Rooftop Tent or Sleeping Inside

Yeah, I saw it had been mentioned before. I’m mainly wondering if Ford has decided it’s a bad idea since they’ve stopped offering it.
  2. Rooftop Tent or Sleeping Inside

Has anyone who has gotten their delivery put a rooftop tent on their Bronco Sport yet? I am considering getting a tent, and I just noticed that it’s no longer an option on the configurator. It was when I first started looking at options. I’m wondering if the roof is too small.
  3. New Bronco Sport Owners Break In Period

I’m still waiting for mine to come in, but that looks like pretty much just normal driving for me. Maybe with the exception of not going for a long single speed cruise on the highway for awhile.
  4. Why Sport vs Base model full-size Bronco?

For me it was a matter of choosing a vehicle on a spectrum from sedan to rock crawler as far as on-road to off-road capability. My final three options were the rav4, Bronco Sport, or Bronco 2D. The rav4 has the best handling on road, gas mileage, and price. The Bronco 2D was the most capable off...
  5. Bronco Sport Overheating when Offroad?

I don’t go to parties these days. I’m still stuck on the Rubicon Trail waiting for my transmission to cool for the 20th time.
  6. Bronco Sport Overheating when Offroad?

    1. No it doesn’t cause wear and tear. Sensors on modern cars don’t shut it down because the limit has been exceeded. They shut it down because the limit (in this case a temperature limit) is approached and they are preventing wear and tear. 2. If you actually would read the review again you...
  7. Thinking of changing trim

Before you change your order double check that the interior is what you want. I’m almost positive the Badlands interior isn’t any nicer than the Big Bend unless you also get the Badlands package for a couple extra grand. The Badlands upgrades are mainly for off road performance not luxury.
  8. Bronco Sport Overheating when Offroad?

I disagree with a lot of your stuff, but they all fairly good faith arguments except one big one. You keep saying stuff like “leave you in a bad spot” or “leave you stranded”. That isn’t going to happen from this issue! You literally just sit there for a few minutes while it cools down, then you...
  9. Bronco Sport Overheating when Offroad?

If you want a vehicle that will go all day in 100 degree weather doing aggressive off roading, the Bronco sport (or any other compact SUV in this class) is not your car. There is a decent chance overheat the transmission and will have to wait a few minutes for it to cool down. It will do better...
  10. Bronco Sport Overheating when Offroad?

So I’m planning to order a Badlands and this issue had me concerned, but I did some further research, and found it’s not unique to the BS. For example, the main alternative I was considering was a RAV4. I did a quick Google search on “RAV4 off-road AWD overheating”. I found multiple off road...
