  1. Michigan FIVE 17-in pristine Motegi rims with snow tires - Motor City MI

@Rockboz Your wife's 2024 looks to be a similar color to my 2021 Badlands (Rapid Red, IIRC). I think these will look good on it! They are in REALLY nice shape, with 4 that were slightly used but in great condition and a 5th wheel and tire being brand new - never touched pavement! My...
  2. Michigan FIVE 17-in pristine Motegi rims with snow tires - Motor City MI

Thanks to BayBrownBronco as well for a smooth transaction and a GREAT set of wheels/tires. He is an upstanding person and I wouldn't hesitate to buy anything from him again in the future. Looking forward to installing them soon!!.
  3. Bronco Sport Badlands - Lift Options

Just installed the HRG 1.5" lift. Did it myself. Install wasn't too bad......took a fair amount more time than the 2-2.5 hours HRG quotes on the YouTube video, AND there are parts in the kit (at least for my Badlands) that need to be installed that weren't shown in the video. Specifically...
  4. My 2021 Bronco Sport Build

Agree with Garth. Looks great! I'm guessing Rough Country lift? How much? 1.5"? What size tires?
  5. Oil Life Percentage

Sounds like a software bug to me. I would let the dealer know about it. If it is a software bug, they won't be able to fix it (unless it is already a known issue). They'll have to inform engineering, where it will take time to find and fix (if it gets sent to engineering and if they decide to...
  6. Need a Ceramic Brake Pad Recommendation, 4/rear

Similar situation. Was at about 23,000 miles a month ago. Rear pads were getting there....probably could have gone another 5,000-10,000 miles but figured it was easy and one less thing to worry about so I installed Power Stop Z16 pads and have no complaints. I have never experienced the noise...
  7. Oil Life Percentage

Can't speak to the current oil change indicator, but the old one (circa 2009) definitely was more complicated than just time or mileage. Drive it under higher temps, at higher RPM, under high load, for repeated short trips, and it will impact the % oil life remaining. My guess is most of us...
  8. Oil Life Percentage

This is great info. Thanks!! I have a handful of old 400S's from my old Escort that also fit my lawn tractors. Now, I will use them on the BS. I didn't realize they fit. Thanks for the tip!
  9. OVERLAYS OR DECALS

Same here. Etsy, and I'm pleased with them.
  10. Curt Trailer Hitch Install Woes

Congrats!!! I should have hired you to do mine!!! :) Getting to those bolts behind the fender flares was a real PIA!!
  11. Curt Trailer Hitch Install Woes

Good luck. Taking the rear bumper cover off is not for the faint of heart. It's not difficult.... just difficult to do without breaking anything, especially those fasteners behind the wheel lip moldings. Again, I can't speak to the 25MY, but there were some really good YouTube videos...
  12. Curt Trailer Hitch Install Woes

See this post for how I handled the bolt heads being too large. Mine is not a 25MY but I think the problem and solution will be the same. https://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/threads/oem-tow-hitch-vs-aftermarket-curt.6848/page-3#post-268766
  13. Brake replacement DIY'd

Credit to Mark S and others here for the excellent instructions. https://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/threads/setting-parking-brake-to-maintenance-mode.4483/
  14. 12 inch crack in windshield what do I do...

I just had two chips/cracks repaired. The first one was a non-Bronco Sport about a month ago. The results were AMAZING! You almost can't see where it was chipped/cracked. It just looks like a very small bug splatter. The initial chip had two small cracks starting to spread from the center...
  15. Brake replacement DIY'd

I don't think (at least on the Badlands model) that you have to screw in the pistons. I believe that is for systems where the parking brake is integral to the caliper. These systems (at least mine on the BL) have the add-on electric parking brake motor so I'm pretty certain it's just 1) put it...
  16. Brake replacement DIY'd

Agree. I have one of those "special" tools that I bought specifically for a car I no longer own to spin the pistons back in but I didn't find it necessary to use one of those with the Bronco Sport rear brake design. The service mode and c-clamp worked just fine for me.
  17. Brake replacement DIY'd

I replaced rear pads with Power Stop Z16 for $33. Maybe I'm a hack, but my Dad was a mechanic and I was taught to use a C-clamp and a block of wood to push the piston(s) back. Thanks to the users here who posted the parking brake service mode procedure. It worked great!
  18. P0496 EVAP Purge Valve Replacement

Sorry for the long delay here. Was out of town. I think the following explains why some users are being told the purge valve is not a covered component under the federal emissions warranty. I do not think this is technically correct, and I believe this will explain it...... There are two...
  19. P0496 EVAP Purge Valve Replacement

Glamdring70..... completely agree. I saw the info too that said they combined the valve with the hoses to avoid the warranty requirement. I'm obviously not even sure that is true. If it is, I will bet the EPA would not allow that (if they were made aware of it).
  20. P0496 EVAP Purge Valve Replacement

Hi Dude, I did some more digging and I'm confident the purge valve is required to be covered under the federal emission warranty. I was focusing on what the regulations require, not what Ford is actually doing, and i was interpreting the comments to mean Ford is claiming the purge valve is not...
