Much appreciated on the reply!
I am betting something about connected services is indeed the culprit.
Unfortunately, from what I have read online it looks like I would lose remote start via the app if I were to turn off these connected features.
As my Big Bend doesn't have remote start via...
I don't get this message when I start mine, oddly enough.
Where / how did you turn it off permanently?
Did doing so make it where you can no longer remote start via the app? (Assuming you use the app for remote start).
At this point I am used to it ?. I tried even more "if this, then that" troubleshooting steps since my last post a while back, but nothing seemed to resolve the issue.
Aside from cell towers / power lines, the only other things I can think of that would apply to all sorts of sources (FM, USB...
Late 30's Ohio resident here. I received my 6 month GEICO bill today. I was paying $240 for my 2012 Ford Focus before I got my Sport in January. The new bill is for $340.
When I bought the Sport, GEICO said my rate increase would likely be $30 or $40 dollars (which is crazy cheap to me...
I am pretty darned happy with my BS. The only build quality things I have noticed so far are:
- Easily scratched plastic interior trim pieces (same as others have mentioned).
* The back of my 2022 BS has various pressure scratches in the sides from where I keep emergency supplies, tools...
This is my 6th or 7th vehicle, but I have never had one where the wheel shine /cleanliness was so different that it actually grabbed my attention. Gunk wise, my back wheels look brand new, while my front wheels look like they are a year or two old.
I can get in the habit of cleaning the fronts...
Indeed! Aliens are as good a guess as any at this point :cwl:
Another odd thing happened today, and I am curious if it is related...
A few times before when I was on a call while driving, it sounded like the call volume was softer than it should have been. Then, seemingly for no reason, the...
Thanks for the quick reply! I posted the thread there first (Tires, etc), but then I got a notification that someone moved it ?.
Much appreciated on the confirmation that the buildup is normal!
I have noticed that my front wheels always have a layer of gunk / smudge on them. Even a fresh car wash doesn't take the stuff off. (The photo below shows the difference a bit, though it is cloudy today so I can't get a true "shine-test" comparison.)
If I wipe my finger against a back wheel, a...
I have done a bit of experimenting since my last post, as I now treat this as a puzzle to be solved.
- Turned off Wireless in the BS, no change
- Turned off silent notifications in AA, no change
- Turned off Bluetooth in the BS, no change
- Turned off various settings (one at a time) in AA, no...
I recently purchased the Cosilee organizer as well, though I had to modify it a bit. The tray itself fits well, but the power access opening (the tiny hole that is meant to allow a cord to be fed through it) is a bit odd.
At least on my BB, the USB ports in the center console area are at an...
Compared to when I was testing the 93, It is probably about 20 degrees warmer on average.
Barring drives to some family a few hours away, I normally only drive about 22 miles a day (and less on weekends). Thus, a single tank lasts a good long while for me. I expect temps in the 60s on average...
For 93, I reset trip 2 and gave it around 1,000 miles for a test. I got roughly 30 mpg.
For 87, I reset trip 2 again and have given it 500 miles so far. I am at roughly 29 mpg (and it is slowly creeping up).
I think I can stomach a 1 mpg-or-less difference in order to save $8 per tank of gas...
Interesting! I can't imagine ever using the rack, so this could be a good way to save some money on gas.
I just googled how to remove the rack, and I can already tell it is a frustration I don't want in my life :cwl: . Whenever I take my BB in for its first service at Ford, I will inquire if...
I have this sound as well. It always sounds like it is coming from the front left or right pillar, depending on which way I am turning. Indeed, I normally get it each time I am about to pull into work (which requires a weird/quick turn to a small median).
Given how loud (relatively speaking)...
My 2022 Big Bend (Jan 2022 build) does this as well.
I use Android Auto via a USB-C to USB-A cord that I bought brand new so that it was very short (I keep my phone in that little cubby under the radio). I plug it in to the USB-A port that is under the cubby. As I am typing this, it occurs to...
Per the article "Owners will begin being notified on April 15 to have their vehicles inspected. "
I am curious if the 15th applies to paper notifications, or all forms of communication.
Anyone know if recall notices are immediately available electronically?
I know you have already taken possession of the vehicle at this point, but as someone who worries all the time about everything, I thought I would chime-in nonetheless.
Until I purchased my Big Bend a few months ago, I had been driving a 2012 Ford Focus SE since early 2013. For the majority of...
With 2,200-ish miles on my 2022 Big Bend, I am getting roughly 30 mpg.
- I driving using a light foot
- I have Auto Start/Stop running most of the time
- I live in a hilly area
- I have used 93 Octane since I purchased the vehicle, though soon I am going to run 87 for a while to see what...
