Yea that’s my hang up with EVs. Perfectly reasonable for day to day commuting but they’re not there yet when it comes to long distance trips. The charging network isn’t there and it takes too long.
Some will defend EV for that purpose but those that do are willing to accept those compromises...
Sorry, don't have an opinion but I did get pulled out of this mess by one...Also, I'm not one of the old dudes attaching the rope, I was stuck in my car there...good times....
The scrapping sound early in the video, if you do even light off roading this car will scrape, just how it goes.
One of those Jack of all trades master on none compromises.
Also this guy is a bit of an idiot. He dug out the second to last climb so he made it the first time because it wasn’t...
TFL did a preview on it. It’s definitely a refined mom-mobile now with some nice tech which seems to be what Hyundai is doing quite anymore.
I would still have trouble spending that much money for a Hyundai but if you took the badge off of it…well I’m weird like that I wouldn’t mind it as a...
Oh it’s definitely my photo. I imagine I signed away any rights to photos when I signed up on here or they screenshotted it off a recent post of mine on Reddit.
Hey I was up there over the 4th and did some driving while I was up there. I wanted to do Laurel Lake but just couldn't find the time. The car should be able do that fine, just as always, be weary of the clearance. Since you have a 2in lift you'll be good.
Other than that, usual cautious...
I found the goat modes unnecessary as well. What I found more annoying was I wanted to drive in normal mode and keep the front camera on. In like sand mode it turns off at a much higher speed than normal so if I wanted to use it I had to pick one of these optional modes.
It’s just a general term for any unpaved road in the mountains of desert. So they’re all over, pretty common really.
To find them just look at any map you’ll see plenty. They are less common in the Midwest but a country road is effectively the same thing just different name.
I tried it once just for funsies on a random section of fire road just to see how it works and thought, it’s on my car I might as well try it out at some point.
I was surprised at how much noise it made tbh. Kinda grunts and grinds down the hill. And I came away thinking this could be useful...
I think it’s getting to the point where the people who’ve wanted an EV have or can get one they can afford. Meanwhile many other people are still buying ICE. Or as the person below me mentions, the premium for buying one still may be prohibitive. Obviously a combination of factors effecting...
I don’t drive slow either but I got like 27mpg coming back from Mammoth to SD…
Now that’s largely due to the fact that it was almost all downhill and there wasn’t much of a headwind. The cars mpg also drops like a rock if you go above 65. So the people who don’t mind taking it a bit slower...
