So is it the 2L engine issues you're mainly worried about when considering the BL trim?
I wonder if the 2L would be offered in lower trims in the next model year..... might be worth the wait to check.
One big thing I'd miss on the Cherokee is the flip up glass on the tail gate.... :(
And yeah the BS definitely wins in the looks department.
BS 2.0 L has more torque compared to the Lat v6 .... and tow hooks on BL trim
But Lat has more towing capacity
One big PLUS on lat is that I can AVOID the...
How would you compare the overall off road ability of the BS compared to the Forester so far? (sorry if you described this already - i skimmed some posts)
Hopefully no one is confusing a WIPER de-icer with a WINDSHIELD de-icer/front defroster. Two very different things. A lot of Subarus have the WIPER de-icer. Mazda6 might, on upper trims, and probably some Volvo wagons...
I wonder how many current cars in the world even have a full-on windshield...
The look is mean enough for my needs, it looks aggressive but not too outlandish/"off-roady" when driving around town. I think the blend of "normal+rugged" is just fine as it is. AND it is square, which I love, and stands out among other egg-shaped SUVs.
What would make it much more appreciated...
This is pretty much my reason too. I'd be wasting most of the extra off road capabilities the full size Bronco offers.
And i can get a lot more features/options with BL+BL while getting all the off road capability that I'd ever need, while not looking too "off-roady" when driving in town/DD...
Interesting...
This makes me think: why don't cars have ANY heating areas on the windshields? Will they obstruct the vision that much? I mean if you didn't see those wires with your naked eye, why not do it for the whole windshield?
Hi all.
Glad to be a part of this group. Great info and insight.
I am not an owner YET of a b/sport. Hoping to buy a BL+BL in 2022. (with tow package, alto blue, and probably the tent... not fully decided on tent)
I am 51 yrs old and do some mild adventuring : hiking/mild climbs, etc. I will...
I think the trick is to somehow not to lose old school practices despite having the modern electronic nannies like BSM, intelligent cruise control, auto braking etc etc. My wife's Mazda was her 1st car with BSM and she worried a LOT that she will become overly dependent on it. As a prevention...
Badlands does come with heated seats standard, I think. (to get the heated steering wheel however, you have to add the BL package)
BL (and 1st edition) does have a more off road suited "pliable" suspension that other trims don't have, so that's probably why you felt more comfortable going over...
That's not mine. it's a stock photo. I don't own a Bronco yet. But it will be BL+BL when I do get one.
I should have paid more attn to your post. I always thought BB+BB does not get the heated steering wheel. So there seems to be some errors with Ford literature....
So now that we have quite a few folks that own the B/S, I have a few questions (apologies in advance if some of these have been answered elsewhere in brochures etc but answers from actual owners beat everything else, IMO).
1. Are there traditional dipsticks for checking oil and ATF?
2. Do...
This button (circled in red) should be the one that turns on heated steering wheel. Do you not have it?

Great to know that 245s can fit without issues! Thanks for the post!
Any pics looking at the B/S from the FRONT or 3/4 Angle with the new tires. ?
Side profile really doesn't show much of a difference when it comes to WIDTH tires.
Thanks!
There are (or more accurately, WERE) a lot of aspects I like about Subaru but I have driven them with the CVT and i just can't stand the weird rubber band feeling. I always feel like the older 2004/2005-ish Foresters with big grilled fog lamps and Outbacks when they were more wagon-y had more...
Interesting - I am sure as we get more owners, info about what one can do with Forscan will come to light.
I'd have no problem if the BS didn't offer a de-icer AT ALL, what i find puzzling is that it IS included in the OB "Luxury" oriented trim and not on the more "rugged/off-road"oriented (and...
Totally agree with UGDO (all trims) and Windshield de-icer (for BL): Weird omissions
Also no power folding mirrors right? No biggie BUT at almost $40k you would think that would be an option. (correct me if I am wrong and it does have power fold. I think not)
De-icer on 1st OB but not on BL...
Ugh it turns itself off AUTOMATICALLY ? (without you changing it to defrost or some other setting?)??? WTH? Tht's ANNOYING. Never had a car with auto climate that did that! Weird!
I want it to be ME who decides if I wanna have it on or off... like stated, what if there's a smelly vehicle in...
