Initially, when I first saw the Badlands wheels, I didn't really like them. Over time, they've grown on me. instead of seeing the 5 openings in the wheels, I see 5 horse heads.
I don't understand the desire for steelies. They remind me of junkyard cars from the 60's which lost their hubcaps- Cars ready for demolition derby.
Alternately, back in the 60s and 70s, one would see abandoned (possibly stolen) cars without hubcaps along the Dan Ryan and Eisenhower Expressways...
I look at this situation differently. Ford tried to resolve the problem cheaply with the reprogramming instead of resolving the problem by replacing batteries. They got caught providing an insdequate resolution to a serious problem.
I'm guessing this is the grill insert item, 3 different brands on Amazon. One has chrome or black, another shows 2 items, one for Bronco and one for Broncos Sport...
Nope, they just won't admit that they bought overweight gas hogs that are hard to maneuver in tight city places, and are jealous of the Bronco Sport owners. I've seen a few social media posts from nasty Bronco owners or wannabees.
The heated steering wheel is part of the Premium Package option for the 22-24 Badlands. In looking at the 2024 Build and Price, it looks like it's not available on the '24 Big Bend nor Outer Banks.
For 2025, the heated Premium wrapped steering wheel is standard on the Outer Banks and Badlands...
After playing around with the Build and Price for the 2025 models, I've come to the conclusion that there is no more Built-in Navigation on any trim, and the subscription "Connected Navigation" is only available on the OB and BL trims with their Tech Packages, and not available at all on the BB...
The most fun car I owned was an '84VW GTI. Only 90 hp from its 1.8 liter engine, but a blast to drive. I thought about putting GTI badges on my new car, but decided just to go for the look without the GTI badges. You can see that in my Avatar and my Batman post...
I do wonder if those claiming 3 years free map upgrades have an earlier Connected Navigation. That would make sense. And now that's changed to 1 year free? Or has it? Does Ford even know? I don't know.
LOL, me too! I'm going to play around a bit on the Build and
price to see if I can learn...
In misty, or heavy fog conditions, Rain'X causes almost complete obscuring of the cameras. A washer squirt clears up the front camera on the Badlands, but there's no more squirter on the back camera.
That seems to contradicts what I quoted on my post #52, from the SYNC 4 features page. Leave it to Ford to change their policy, and contradict thir own web pages. Ford is great in creating confusion, similarly to the various forms of Co-Pilot 360, 360 +, Co-Pilot 2.0.
Instead of using the built-in Navigation/mapping, some folks prefer to use Google maps on their cell phone, or Waze, another mapping app for the cell phone. To use those through your Infotainment screen, you just need to use Android Auto or Apple Car Play, as is appropriate for your cellphone...
