Needed? No. Good Idea? I think so.
I've gotten one for every touchscreen vehicle I have had (as well as my phones and other mobile devices). For me it is cheap insurance for a very expensive investment as I keep my vehicles for a long time.
??? Beat me to it. I've mostly been making small SYNC 3 alterations and studying the catalog of items before making any big changes.
How long have you had it turned off? And are there any incidentals you have noticed yet? (DTC Code, indicator on the button, etc...).
So checked this morning and for what it is worth, the ability to adjust the TPMS settings are available in the latest version of FORScan. It would be accessible via the BCM module:
Personally, I'm still a fan of TPMS, but I know a lot of folks aren't and if you are comfortable making...
It's likely possible to do so, but it would involve purchasing a OBD scanning tool, a copy of the FORScan software with an extended license, and some research to find the entry line and code that would need to be changed.
An easier/cheaper/safer solution would be to get a set of TPMS sensors...
This is why I love Fords, but hate so many of their dealerships. Way to ruin what could have been a great customer service experience. How long would it take them to pull this into a bay and hook up a diagnostic scanner. At least they would show they cared and would likely be able to provide...
Knocked off another item on the minor annoyances list this weekend.
I ran into this with my Fiesta ST as well, but for some reason (at least it appears that way in the U.S. Market) Ford defaults most/all of their Bluetooth pairing IDs to SYNC, which seems to make sense except for the fact the...
Hello John,
Catching up on this thread...
I think I may have been the 1st member on this forum to do a post on upgrading the taillights to DD LEDs, which your staff were quite helpful about way back in January and I have several DD LED upgrades on my Fiesta ST as well, so welcome aboard...
This:
Ford will not/does not directly sell its software-based manuals and documents, but it is generally possible to get a copy of one on eBay and provided you have moderate PC skills, install and run them on a home Windows PC. If you go this route my recommendation is that you look for an...
Was in Rensselaer IN for a short time today, but long enough to grab this pic. For some reason this wonderful mural by kristine campbell spoke to me:
(My ride might have had something to do with it )
As others have observed, this issue seems to have surfaced after the SYNC 3.4.21098 update began pushing out (May-ish). I know for myself that was around the time I first noticed this no longer worked.
It would be interesting to know if someone is on a different version of SYNC and is still...
$60k for my Badlands would likely get me there. Honestly right now I would more likely sell my Fiesta ST before selling the BS BL. And I love my my FiST...
I think you'll be happy with the choice. I did order and install the stainless rods but mostly for the dress-up reasons you mentioned. It would only be a one-off comparison but in the 8 years I had them installed on my Ford Escape (also the black painted ones) they began to get a little...
A lot of vendors still don't have their "lookups" updated to include the BS, and some are still kind of hit-and-miss. When I ordered mine back in January, it took a couple of emails with Diode Dynamics to figure it out. The type numbers are definitely correct and there have been several forum...
One of the reasons why that approach isn't real popular. Runs Honda a bit less in manufacturing costs but creates some real headaches if you damage a tire. ?
A quick check against the service instructions for the Bronco Sport seems to confirm that the TPMS system "trains" the same way as most...
