Disable TPMS?

I'm going to get snows and rims but not really interested in the tmps. Can I switch off this off?

I don't think I could go for 4-5 months with this alert flashing at me lol.

I don’t believe you can turn it off. TPMS sensors are pretty inexpensive . As an alternative, I guess you could put some duct tape on the screen lol. But you will get Fordpass notifications constantly.

I have no idea how this works with Ford, but on my last car (VW Golf7) I got exactly zero alerts for every winter I drove it from the tire pressure system. Not sure why it is expected to get alerts here?
The only time I got an alert was when a tyre was legitimately low - as in, one tyre way off the others.
Even when pressures were down in the cold, there were no alerts. I suspect the system is smart enough to know if they are all low in sync that nothing is wrong if it is cold out (not like the system cannot check that as a whole before popping an alert). Just guessing here.

It's likely possible to do so, but it would involve purchasing a OBD scanning tool, a copy of the FORScan software with an extended license, and some research to find the entry line and code that would need to be changed.

An easier/cheaper/safer solution would be to get a set of TPMS sensors for the winter tires/wheels and a training tool:

I have a 2nd set of rims and winter tires for my Fiesta ST and training a new set of sensors is a 5 minute job. Not a big deal really.

You could find some wiring diagrams and find out how to do the same hack the toyota guys do. I did the hack on my FJ to turn the light off.

So checked this morning and for what it is worth, the ability to adjust the TPMS settings are available in the latest version of FORScan. It would be accessible via the BCM module:

Personally, I'm still a fan of TPMS, but I know a lot of folks aren't and if you are comfortable making software modifications on your BS, it could be changed.
