Since none of us have driven the Bronco yet, what are you basing your perceptions on, that the Bronco does not have as good a ride quality and more interior noise than the Bronco Sport?
Because the Bronco is Body on Frame (BOF) vs the Bronco Sport Unibody?

I agree you should be able to go the parts department, after your teenager lays on it and crushes it, and order it along with the replacement side panels, not ideal, better to order from the start, but doable.
Once the Ford parts website lists the Bronco Sport we can look it up...
Just found this quote from @Granger Ford confirming the shelf is simply a "DIO (Dealer Installed Option)" which means their parts department can order it and install it after the fact.

Ford has shown two examples of a factory 1" lift, links and photo below.
They used a 31-inch 245/70R17 tire for them. We are discussing more tire options for the 1" lift at this thread.

@GPW if Ford offers a factory engineered lift kit, it most likely will be a "Dealer Installed Accessory" The reason this is important is your warranty is not affected for dealer installed items.
