  1. Oil catch can

too soon to re-introduce the breather debate? ? I noticed when really getting on it in Sport Mode the boost pressure pushes a very slight amount of oil past the rings. Only after a few Sport Mode events did I notice some oil in the can. And like you mentioned about a valve breather cap. Ford...
  2. Oil catch can

I installed a UPR CC a few months ago. To date (3000k) it has accumulated a few drops of oil. All the points written by others here all have a common theme, that is it is really not needed. Ford already addressed the issue that the CC is intended for. There is however a good use for it. On a new...
  3. Aftermarket Exhaust for both 1.5 and 2.0

I tried to get a couple of different recordings but the sound isn't close to the actual sound.
  4. Hit me with your best mods (Fire away)

Yes, after looking at all the replacement part it looks like it. A good reason to buy a new tool to make a good cut)
  5. Official SHADOW BLACK Bronco Sport Thread

When I had the side windows tinted the tech slipped a razor blade under the logo. Once it lifted enough to get a hold of it he peeled it off. I buffed it with wax and called it good. Not a scratch afterwards. I purchased the Bronco vinyl overlays on Etsy. It's s been about six months since I...
  6. 20-22 MPG

If you didn't have your speedo recalibrated then those numbers are not accurate. Any Ford Dealer can recalibrate the ECU, it's a programming change, no mechanical change. They'll need the diameter of your new tires, fully inflated to your normal tire pressure. Five minute procedure. Afterwards...
  7. 47.5 MPG on Big Bend using Eco Mode 🍃

I've hit that number and then some on one tank averages. I admit my OB isn't stock, a few easy mods and other tweaks and 40 plus is doable in the right conditions. There are plenty of forum bashers with tunnel vision that deny anything more than the EPA est is possible. I'm sure there's one of...
  8. Cargo Area Tie Downs

I'm curious about the case with the Bronco logo, what is in it?
  9. Hit me with your best mods (Fire away)

Where to start, adding mods is my new hobby. I actually ran out of new things to add. My mods are geared more toward the Miami environment. I'm originally a country boy from the NW, blazing trails in a 4X4, trailbike, snowmobile or hiking boots is in my blood. Now I'm living in the middle of a...
  10. We love our BS.... but name one thing you dislike about it

I've had my OB for 6 months now, There were two things right out of the gate I changed. I installed gas struts for the hood. The prop screamed 70s and seemed too retro as well as being more like a base model option, The OB should have had them as a standard option. The second thing was the...
  11. Unexpected Baby

Pretty decent mpg considering the elevation. The drive up was offset by the coasting down. The idle time is what kills mpg. Next time go to settings on the display, program lights off at shutdown and turn your headlight knob to the off position. This should shut everything off after you shut the...
  12. Just put Maverick steel wheels (steelies) on my 2021 sport. What do you all think?

Its a Changing the speedo calibration is a programming change. Take it to your dealer, give them the outer diameter of the mounted tire and they'll calibrate to the new setup.
  13. Receiving "gifts" from Ford

I have to say Ford has been very generous since I purchased my OB. I called Ford direct to ask about getting the missing cover under the the Glove Box. Although still unresolved I was given a $100 gift cert for Ford merchandise. On top of the 42000 points I received when I purchased the OB I...
  14. Unofficial MPG thread for the 1.5L

Everyone has a different normal. I drive in Miami, I95, 4 to 5 lanes, 30 to 65 depending on traffic, 40 miles r/t 5 days a week and my average is 31 to 35 mpg. Best avg was 41.3 nonstop down to Key West and back. 346 miles total. Normal is whatever u drive day to day, week after week.
  15. Unofficial MPG thread for the 1.5L

I've done it too, I've done one tank averages over 41mpg. Verified by simple math. In my case I was following the posted limit using Intelligent Cruise on long, uninterupted road trips. One of the responses below was anything over 23-24 is BS and one should drive normal to get a good take on...
  16. 47.5 MPG on Big Bend using Eco Mode 🍃

A good rule with most engines. In addition the requirement is to use a weighted average, 45% hwy, 55% city for the EPA MPG calculation. Some may drive 95/5 and others may drive 5/95. The average listed on the window sticker does however give a good bases for an average. In reality there are so...
  17. How to activate compass?

Hello, are you referring to the arrow looking icon on the upper right corner of your center display. If so that is not a compass, it is the icon for Ford Pass Connect, "vehicle location sharing" for Sync 3. Take a look at the Owners Manual, pg. 354. All Sync 3 icons are listed.
  18. Poll: K&N drop in filter on 2.0 Ecoboost engine -- did it improve fuel mpg?

My experience has always been the same with only a intake mod. Alone a filter or a CAI rarely increases mpg. Opening up the exhaust will complete the mod. Intake and exhaust go hand in hand to maximize results. On my 1.5 I've installed both the K&N, a smooth bore intake box to manifold hose and...
  19. Help me accessorize my Outer Banks

You'll be glad u got hood struts, they are one of my favorite upgrades I put on mine. The rubber mats, well worth it. I also went with ceramic window tinting to match the back at 24%, put a strip on the windshield too. The ceramic is more durable, not as prone to cracking or bubbling up if done...
  20. 2.0L MPG Fuel Mileage

For a 2.0 that's awesome. You gotta love that kind of mpg for CUV like the Bronco.
