IMHO, no, you are not. Disclaimer: I'm not a car guy. I don't view it as mechanical issue. I rather see it as part of sale transaction - if I paid for it then they must deliver it. If it's cosmetic indeed then let me decide if I want it or not, and reduce the price if I choose not to get it.
Ouch. I was also thinking about wiring used in newer vehicles. Apparently additives used in wire jackets these days attract rodents (soy is it?). If it's applicable to Ford then I'd imagine some vehicles could have wire damage. I assume/hope there is some post plugging in chip QC that takes place.
That's it for my short-to-mid term BS dream - picked my RAV4 earlier today.
Speaking of my existing BS order. Assuming I don't pick it up, I'd really hate having the dealer to turn around and post it for many thousands over MSRP. And I'm not sure I'd wanna the hustle of buying it to sell it for...
I've had my previous gen RAV4 for a while and really wanted something else. Looking back, it was stupid of me to pass on matching to my BS order First Edition but it was end of April and it was too early for me. Not to mention I didn't think things would get this bad. I even put the deposit...
Well guys, I'm out. I need a vehicle and IMHO worsening supply/production issues got me concerned enough that I went back to Toyota. Yeah... I said no more Toyotas after 20 years of nothing but, but I guess that's all I know.
4Runner was the primary candidate until I had to actually interact...
Having dealt with my sales guy and having seen other replies here IMHO that really means nothing other than dealer printing for you what you can already see on your order status page. We've seen delivery date changes all over the place lately. Unless your dealer has inside scoop I wouldn't put...
That's how I felt about SSN check too but thought may be things have changed since my purchasing the last car years back. Thanks for confirming it for me.
Wanted to run something by you all. Another dealer I talked to says I can put down a deposit on incoming vehicle ordered for someone else. If, and that's a big if, they back out then I can have it. Deposit is refundable. Now here's the kicker - dealer asked for my SSN. ? I said no thanks. They...
ETA as delivery ETA? If so then they expect to ship it roughly a month earlier, ie mid August. So basically the currently shutdown plant re-opens a week from now and for already built cars they expect to have no chips available for another month and a half. Great... I'm doing this...
I was thinking about it too. You know, I find the whole Bronco gazillion of trims and options super confusing. I would have to figure out what's comparable to BL+BL. Might need to expand my search just in case.
Yeah... wish I had a backup car... The latest batch of BS built cars with delayed delivery dates is making things more confusing and concerning. I am exactly a month away today from supposed build date. At this point I really have no Fing clue if it gets built and/or delivered a month after...
I've been contacted by some Ford dealer this morning offering a Black Outer Banks they got in yesterday. Dealer is in North Canton, OH. That's not the trim I'm after so I thought I'd post if anyone is interested. HTH.
Brand new Outer Banks for sale
You might be right, which would explain the supposed recent development/rumor that fully built BS are starting to get F150 treatment. Seeing that BS is no longer the new kid on the block it sort of makes sense. Sucks for all of us caught in the middle.
