    @biglarrr if the tire is the same size as what's on the ground, you could still dismount and mount the injured tire as the spare and keep the new tire on the ground. It would involve a little more work though.

    Our hope is that you never half to use it. But its nice to not be limited to distance and speed unlike temporary/compact spares.

    @jliebig, absolutely, tire manufacturers simply give you an option for sidewall preference. White or Black facing out. There would be no difference in performance :like:

    @renz A. Highly doubtful, you are increasing the height by almost 2 inches, plus there are not many options for tires in that size anyway.
