Went out with a 4x4 club out of Prescott AZ, Summit 4x4 Club. It’s not a “Hard” trail, but for a beginner it was tricky and a bit unnerving at times.
And I have a battle scar now underneath :-(. Guess it...
i can tell you the on road isn’t bad at all. A bit stiffer if anything? But that I think is to be expected. Quiet with only the slightest hum, mostly when cornering.
off-road, so far I have done two trails on them. One was Table Mesa here in AZ. Rocky and steep. Only slipped a tiny bit and I...
Sooooooo. I did a thing. Or, more specifically a rock did.
I’ve got a Badlands and a rock kicked, flipped and went taller than it started. I have no idea if this is severe damage or not, but an idea from all you smart people would go a long way.
Yes, I’m going to have a dealer take a gander...
well. No gunk after a trail. So I’m leaning into this theory.
my passenger floor pan does have a dent tho… a rock that wasn’t big flipped under my wheel and became big :-(.
Don’t know enough to know if that’s a big deal or not. Cracked one of the plastic plugs in it.
forded almost 2ft of...
I almost went this way, till my my wife thre out my budget number and it was higher than what I was going to ask for.
so I got lock N load. T slots at infinitum.
Hobby is going to the range. At least sometimes. Other times, it’s training… which isn’t a hobby. Neither is CCW. It’s reality.
And carrying in a vehicle is one of the tougher aspects of ensuring we have a chance to survive in that God Forbid small chance we have to use our tools to defend...
UPDATE: Washed the car today with my power washer (first time…. So hot the best job, but It will suffice for now).
took a snap after washing, can barely tell the pattern of the “alien pee” on my tire. I have driven (upwards of 45mph only so far) and no change.
tomorrow we are going out to...
I saw an instructor say once “9MM is the way to go, unless you have something else. The best caliber in a fight is the one you have onyou. Placement and rounds on target is the key”.
kinda like in photography. The best camera is the one you have with you.
I really want a p365 for the summer...
oh. Yeah. Totally. I don’t actually discount a .380. I wouldn’t want to get shot with a .22 either.
I just like the terminal perform of 9MM A bit more. If my wife was a carrier .380 would probably be the way to go.
my sig is in a brovo concealment torsion in aiwb. I have a bit of a tactical...
New tires since first instance. Its there. At one point, on a trip, it was front and back on same side. But since then, when it happens, its only that one tire. Calipers, disks, springs, joints, all the connectie bits are all clean (except for Arizona Dirt and Pollen).
No spots on the...
I will really get your goad then. We can open carry or concealed carry without a CCW in AZ haha.
not that it is a good idea if God forbid it was ever needed. But that CCW does help in court.
no. It happened before lift and tires a couple times too.
I mean… it’s possible I am hitting something in the streets that is tossing crap up. But it never happened on any other vehicle we have. So it’s just weird. And it is t evenly distributed either.
I’m gonna wash it today or tomorrow and...
I like your thinking. Mine stays in me pants because what if you are forced out your car? Gotta choose the right time for counter ambushes and having to grab it….well.
I watch too much Active Self Protection. Or enough of it. One or he other. Or both.
I’m Sig xCarry or forKalifornia trips, a...
It’s actually, funny enough, NOT on the wheel except where it splattered. Just the tire. And only the outside wall.
Ford shop had it all apart doing the lift and could find nothing. I have been under there along with my neighbor (who fully restored a classic cherry vette) and everything is dry...
