  1. Auto Start/Stop when Parking

I think this is a much better idea than shifting to Reverse to do the same thing. But I still think intentionally shifting to Park first is best.
  2. Auto Start/Stop when Parking

The BS won't let you park in Reverse. However you have probably taken advantage of shutting down in Reverse and observing the shift knob moving into Park automatically. I.e. instead of allowing the auto start-stop to restart the engine. Clever, but pay attention!
  3. Auto Start/Stop when Parking

There are more situations in which you'd want the engine running in Park -- so, auto start-stop is not active in Park. Your BS cannot guess that your intention is to park, exit, and leave the vehicle behind until next time. You can also find this information in your Manual...
  4. More aggressive sound in Sport Mode?

The audio system "engine enhancement" sound is piped through in the Sport, Normal, and also Sand, Mud & Ruts, and Rock Crawl G.O.A.T. modes. Nothing in Eco nor Slippery modes that I have observed. Ford's rationalization for it was that drivers would want more audible feedback from the "engine"...
  5. Sirius XM Spamming

SiriusXM can be stopped via their live chat accessed on their website. Yes, they will try and sell you to keep you. I admit I like the service and just go through their dance with them to get the lowest monthly cost renewal for another year on just the service I want. I complain about that part...
  6. Shark fin antenna too tall!

Take it all OFF, fill and refinish the hole; re-install at the end of a longer cable and add a magnetic base. Then thread it out the window and onto the roof for use when you're hitting the road.
  7. Shark fin antenna too tall!

It's not sand under there? Dig it out...? But if if is sand, I'd be afraid of it coming in underneath and raising the "floor" such that even if successfully parked in there and left, that I'd be scraping on the way back in one day.
  8. Roof Vinyl wrap - Dark roof showing lots of fading already .

Black roof is standard on some trims, grey optional; body color roof is standard on other trims. And now of course there's white on Heritage trims. This sounds like the OP has a wrapped roof and that the wrap is failing...? A black wrap was popular for some who didn't get black (i.e. Base, Big...
  9. Rain in door seal?

Yes, this is "normal." Water collects along the top door seal, and then as opened that seal angle changes from roughly parallel to the ground to angled downward toward the hinge side of the door. Then the water runs out and onto the rear rocker panel. A little surprise, a little annoying, but am...
  10. ⚠️ 2021-2023 Bronco Sport Fuel Injector Recall For 1.5L EcoBoost Engine [Updated With Ford FAQ]

Because of the risk of under-hood fires (54 reported so far?). Because 188,436 Bronco Sport vehicles are affected. Because repair "parts are anticipated to be available by the end of 1Q , 2023." Myself and I'm sure many others think this is of significant interest.
  11. Sirius XM Spamming

$5/month is VERY good, I could not get below $6.
  12. Sirius XM Spamming

I think they used to commonly offer $5/month when threatened w/cancellation; I've been getting about $6/month plus all the taxes and fees adds up to something just over $7/month. I don't NEED SiriusXM, but like it for some things, sometimes. But it is not worth more than that, for the...
  13. Santa has arrived!!!!

It's interesting how mfrs mess with the available colors (and new ones); some new and tweaked colors "hit" and become very popular, others -- why did they replace that great color with that new one (just a little bit different from the old) that nobody likes? The rare colors are plain old bright...
  14. Armrest controls?--image attached

Oh come on, fellas! The 4-way "joystick" is the up/down, left/right control for the power mirrors. And, since you only operate one of them at a time, the 2 little buttons just below it are used to SELECT which -- left or right mirror -- you want to adjust. The little button light when it/that...
  15. Trip 2 screen?

I preferred my old VW trip odometers -- one automatically tracked and reset itself after shorter trips, the other was ongoing until manually reset. I never remember to manually manage it for short trips where I might have liked to know "how far, how long did that take?" I would normally also use...
  16. Who's car is it?

Hmmm...right-sized roominess, comfort, convenience, fuel-efficiency, decent performance -- you're already there looking at a compact crossover. But that image is not anything to distinguish your "manliness" from all of the females and older folks also driving compact crossovers. My wife drives a...
  17. Air Conditioning Running in Freezing Weather

As others have stated, the AC system will turn on (button lights) if it 'thinks' the cabin air might need to be dehumidified. Yes, it only means the system is active, not that the compressor is engaged. Yes it will engage and blow cold air if your selected temp isn't high enough. It will also...
  18. Curiosity. What would this empty button be for?

This button blank was discussed either here or on "another [popular] forum;" it something like what I mentioned, for another (non-US) market.
  19. Tire Recommendations

I was tempted by 245/70-17's on my BL but didn't dare -- so 245/65-17 seem just right for mine. Maybe a 235/65-17 for your Base?
