  1. Clever little details.

I agree there is none extra -- but I just encourage my 5'5" wife to move the passenger seat forward a few inches, as there's more than enough legroom in the front -- and then 6'3" son fits just fine in the back behind her, 5'9" daughter behind me (also 6'3"). A little like Tetris back there, but...
  2. Giving credit when due - slippery mode in snow

Slippery mode is not for blasting around in snow like you would sand in the desert! It's to limit wheel spin, keeping tires planted and in control. For cautious, safe driving in bad street conditions. It is not for off-road, or for getting in and out of deep snow. It may not be the fastest way...
  3. Windshield Chips

My 2021 has received plenty of loud whacks on the windshield going down the highway, zero visible chips or cracks to date -- knock on wood. Had to replace the windshield on my little VW convertible 3x over 10 years. I think that was because it was pretty low to the road surface, so that rocks...
  4. Engine cover or hood insulation?

Not needed, but maybe nice to have. I've thought the hood liner must cut noise down, and the engine cover somewhat protective with all of the hoses/wires/connections under there. BUT I THINK it's possible 1 or 2 of the necessary studs to mount the engine cover might be missing on models...
  5. All-Weather Floor Mats Question And Possible Flooring Issue

2+1 snaps in my '21 BL/BL w/rubber flooring and rubber mats (+carpet mats in storage). Yes, these rubber mats are different -- I believe smooth underneath for rubber floors, grips for carpet. I wouldn't have been surprised at no snap on the passenger side with carpet flooring, though...?
  6. Wiring prep pack

I always thought this was only an encouragement to mount Ford accessories on the roof rails -- there's nothing else there, AFAIK. The Bronco (not Sport) has removable covers at these points to mount things like limb risers, etc.
  7. Red line in non sport mode

I have noticed while cruising in Eco mode, if I try to pass or change lanes quickly and press the accelerator, there is a delay and then a sudden, uncomfortable and unwanted high-RPM surge. I think the computer sees my right-foot demand for more power and can't help itself -- but has to overcome...
  8. Skid Plates

It all can be done...this BS/BL has steel replacement front and rear bumpers
  9. Bar graphic on display screen

In addition to moving up and down this little scale when you toggle screens in your dash -- this little scale gets taller when you activate more available screens in setup (there is a maximum vs. what # screens are available to activate). You might take a look to see what other screens you might...
  10. FordPass Rewards Points can be applied / redeemed online starting January 30, 2023

I always assumed, I thought logically, that these Ford points were meant to drive customer traffic in service and accessories to the dealerships. Now I guess I can dump my points on an accessory or two on-line for home delivery.
  11. Interior liftgate release

So there IS an advantage -- a quick and easy way while sitting in the parked BS -- key buried somewhere on my person but not conveniently accessible, and why would it be? -- to "pop" the rear hatch without unlocking the rest of the vehicle. I have used it this way and would miss it. (I asked my...
  12. Interior liftgate release

Are we sure you don't have to manually unlock the rear hatch first -- by pressing the door lock/unlock button on the door, before the hatch can be manually opened (from the outside, by someone who doesn't have the key)?
  13. For those interested in getting wireless car play rather than have to plug the phone in.

They're saying the v4.0 of the linked product works with both ACP and AA.
  14. HRG 2.5" Lift installation Video

Maybe the overall ground clearance is the same with both? Since some of the subframe modifications might be akin to a "body lift" (the body afterward is higher in relation to the suspension)? Unless the lowest component isn't actually part of the suspension, but rather the exhaust, drivetrain...
  15. Ford Bronco Sport Sales Place Near Bottom Of Segment In Q3 2022

In my view, the 2 Subaru models and the Jeep (Cherokee) are the only real close competitors to the Bronco Sport here. Sure it's 12th of 17 among "compact crossovers" but I don't have any inclination towards any of those other makes/models for the way I use my Bronco Sport -- except perhaps for...
  16. Details, Ford, Details

You can turn the ignition to Accessory mode (key or pushbutton), activate the wiper single-swipe mist function, and quickly turn the ignition OFF (key or pushbutton). The wipers will be parked upright on the windshield. Do this so that any messing with the wipers/arms, you won't be contacting...
  17. What is this for?

I would really not want that large-ish, rough cut through my rubberized flooring, just for that. Maybe could have just drilled those few bolt holes, even using spacers, to install that mount.
  18. 2023 FORD BRONCO ADDS NEW AZURE GRAY METALLIC COLOR

I guess it's a tri-coat color option ($$), it does look a little "subdued" vs. A51 to me. Essentially "blue-gray," should they have called it "gray-blue," who knows.
  19. Details, Ford, Details

To be fair, you have to put them into the service position before you can do that -- and so have to remember to do so first when parking, before you intend to lift the wipers. But, I've also found that warming up, the defroster takes care of it anyway, so that I can scoop out under the...
  20. Rear sliding

Binding/clunking are not normal, this sounds like the rear axle is locked (so far as that goes in the BSBL) -- which is of course not meant for any fairly clean, hard, level surface. But, any other fault that would cause a difference in wheel speed could cause the same.
