Forum cookies

So I have had issues with the forum on my phone (ios) ever since I joined. I wont go into any of it. Mostly just quirky annoying stuff, but I dealt with it. Well I got a message the other day in a pop up window that said I need to activate forum cookies to improve forum functionality. Problem is I cannot find where to do that. Anyone have an idea? It is probably why I am having some functionality issues. Thanks in advance.

The site has worked well until I installed a different VPN in July, now it keeps refreshing and kicking me out.

Sounds suspiscious. The app likely uses WKWebView to access the forum, so cookies could be placed, but the user should normally have no access or control of it, and there are no local settings for it. Short of a VPN causing problems, I can't think of anything that would cause this. If it appears again, screen cap it for us. I'd also report it to the forum Admin as well, and possibly a support ticket with Apple.

If it offers any clickable links or buttons, I'd avoid them for now. Like I said, this sounds very sus.

I will take a screen shot of the message if it ever appears again. I am not thinking it is dubious. No links given, but I wouldn’t click them anyway. I won’t put in a ticket with apple. It’s only this app and they don’t care. Like I said it’s mostly just small annoying stuff. For example, I will type a reply and press post and the post disappears. I will find it off screen but not posted. One time it disappeared all together and I exited the thread and then went back in and it was there, but still not posted.

Other than the app not loading fully on occasion,
I really haven’t had any issues with it over the last year or so. I’m currently on an iPhone 17/iOS 27.0 beta, my carrier is T-Mobile.

opened the app twice today and had to verify I’m a human…

It’s a Cloudflare thing. Usually depends on the network you’re on at the time. I was able to toggle it by switching between two different networks. It is new, though.
