My Bronco sport 1.5L Big Bend transmission just puked right out of warranty @ 63k. The dealership says Ford wont help cover any expenses. This is ridiculous, this thing has been nothing but problems. Oil pump, Battery, squawking rear brakes, shuttering torque converter and now the big one right out of warranty. Always maintained, oil changes every 5k. The tranny is supposed to be maintenance free... They don't even give you a dipstick to check it periodically. You buy a new vehicle in order to have a reliable means of transportation. I still owe plenty of $ on it. I'm not wealthy. Any ideas? BTW I drive like an old lady trying to get the best MPG and all my miles are hwy miles to work and back, 20 miles each way. No heavy acceleration, towing or even stop and go traffic. I'm at my wits end.

I had a coolant leak and got a new engine... shuddering and got a new transmission... all before 36k miles. Changes fixed none of the issues. Coolant leak again just out of warranty... going to take it to a different dealership. Paid almost 4k for extended warranty... hopefully it covers everything. Can't afford a new car. Wasted months this year with it in the shop for nothing.

I'm feeling these vehicles are nothing but problems. Sad because I do really love driving it.

Sorry for your experience: Good luck and Godspeed!
I've been buying cars since 1960's; here's my experience (no matter the manufacturer):
Call Ford directly. They usually have (used to have) area representatives. Attempt to reason, IE: 63k - 60k = 3k/60k = 5% beyond limit. Maybe they will cover half? Parts? I have had good success with this option. If Not = post everywhere.
Second option: get second opinion on what is wrong. I have had dealers want to charge to fix things that didn't need fixing and/or wanting way more $$ to fix something that was easy to fix.
Third option: never buy FORD again. (IE: Found On the Road Dead or Fix Or Repaid Daily as my GM friends would constantly remind me! Albeit the only car manufacturer I stopped buying from is GM since 1970 when timing chain broke at idle (required replacing 2 valves, 2 pushrods n timing chain, they refused to replace timing gears!) within warranty and refusal to pay for labor and didn't tell me ahead of time! Never bought another GM, switched 3 corporation fleets away from GM. GM lost a lot of money. And I don't care. My 2 cents, your experience may be different!)

Thanks for your response! I have contacted Ford through X and they are escalating my issue. If that fails I'm going to call the regional manager, then corporate and keep bugging em till I hopefully get somewhere. I'll keep this board posted as this plays out.

$4k for a warranty? You should have bought a Ford warranty online from Flood or Granger.
Pump should be covered.

Yep nothing but problems. I've had to pay for a water pump $1220 and a transmission $6500. Now I'm at ford for another water pump and a catalytic converter $1200. I just wonder what else this thing that I paid $40K for will throw at me. I love driving it when it works.

Someone posted recently there is a recall (or customer satisfaction program) for the catalytic converter for 1.5L models

A little less than 4k.... I got it through Flood Ford (cheaper than Granger). Premium Care, $0 deductible, up to 10 years or 100,000 miles. I'm definitely going to need it for this thing.

Well I contacted Ford Corporate on X and they are going to give me a "Good Will Warranty" Still not sure how much it will cover but at least it's something.
That's something! I contacted Ford before my 3 year warranty was up, and they said that they couldn't do anything because my states lemon law is only 2 years, 18k miles. :( Not even an extended warranty or any help. I'm curious how much the goodwill warranty will cover.

Always be polite and practice before hand, tell your story in as few words as possible, organize with bullet points. In my opinion, you have a strong case. Don't let it go sideways because of anger! Good luck n Godspeed!

Yeah I was polite. More bees with honey vs vinegar.
