I’m going absolutely crazy. Rattle is for sure up above headliner above right side of grab handle. I’ve pulled down headliner from door jam and nothing I touch stops it. Stuck an endoscope through right hole that mounts grab handle and can’t see anything causing it. If I press on headliner really hard above door jam it effects the rattle so it’s for sure there but nothing effects it when my hand is in headliner. Rambling cause I’m going crazy after 2 weeks of dealing with it. Hoping anyone has had anything similar. I’ve touched all the visible bolts the black plug etc. about to punch a hole through the ceiling to stop it

Totally can relate to the craziness of a rattle!!! I had one in the same general area that drove me nuts for about 3 weeks. I looked at everything I could without taking the car apart. I looked for loose things in the pocket door, the glove box, port areas. I couldn't figure it out. I was nearly out of my mind when I happened to notice that the visor wasn't seated properly in the latch. Vibration gone. I was so embarrassed. I hope you find yours, I really, really do.

I think this might be the culprit
I taped that white piece tight to the frame and
I also put cloth tape behind the bracket holding the seat belt to the frame. I don’t think that was causing the rattle but there was definitely some play for it to bounce metal on metal. Maybe the sound travels up the pillar creating the illusion that it’s by the grab handle. I will update when I drive it later

I have a BS BL, 5,000 MI, I'm surprised to see this posting, I have had zero problems, but.. on certain road surfaces I will have a very annoying rattle on passenger side rear to the right of the grab handle. It's quite loud. I had my wife drive a few miles and I sat in the back seat and located where it was at again passenger side rear to the right of the grab handle and if I press in on that area of the headliner it stops I release and it rattles. I don't know how to take the headliners out and take an internal look so I'm stuck.

I’ve had the same experience in other vehicles.

Welp rattle is still there. It’s like it’s directly behind the right hole for the grab handle. I’ve never had a rattle trigger me this bad cause I see and touch everything in that area and no effect lol. And as I’m figuring out the rattle my muffler began rattling on the inside pretty bad during idle so the universe is just messing with me at this point

What about a little expanding foam behind the headliner or in the hole for the grab handle bolts?

Are you still under the 3 year/36 miles bumper to bumper warranty? Generally rattles are covered under the warranty. Maybe time to take to the dealer
I’ve grown to really dislike dealing with the dealership for things like this. I realize that’s what the warranty is for and how ignorant I sound but it will go as follows,
Can’t get me in for a month, bring it in after waiting, They will have it for 4 days, result will be either “couldn’t replicate” or problem will persist after “fixed”.

I understand. The dealer has had my BS for about 3 weeks chasing after rattles. They got 2 rattles out around the front door but are now chasing a noise under the rear maybe in the drivetrain that they do not seem to be able to find. At least they are trying and I have a loaner while they try to find the source of the noise. In my case I think in the end they are going to come back and tell me tell me noise is "normal" for the Badlands BS and I will have to live with it until something gets worse.

One of the reasons I got rid of the 2023 BS BB I had was bad rattles in the dash, system off to save battery[in the colder weather] fuel gauge that no longer registered full and a bunch of recalls[battery wasn't one of them] all in under 6,600 miles when I got rid of it and got the 2025 XLT AWD Maverick with the 2.0 4 cylinder EB and couldn't be happier. And the Maverick was actually cheaper than the BS that had the 1.5 3 cylinder EB. It sounds like the BS's are just rattle boxes!! :)

If I apply pressure on the actual metal of the bracket in the right hole the clicking/rattle goes away. ? I’ve touched everything in the video with no success. Not the plastic plug or the bolt or any wiring or airbag assembly. But pressing on the metal bracket solves it. So I took needle nose pliers and pushed to hopefully mess something up enough to stop the noise lol. The video is for education purposes. The red circle is the interior of headliner view of the bracket that stops the clicking when pressed from in cab. Pressing headliner does nothing only pressing bare metal

How do you remove the grab handle?
Than you pinch opposite sides of that metal bracket inside the handle and pull the handle outward. The handle comes out and the bracket stays than you pinch the bracket to remove it from the hole. Curious why they didn’t opt to have it screwed into place?
