Hello. I have a question. Can anyone tell me how I can tighten the trim plate that is on the bottom of the hatch door of the Bronco Sport. This is the trim plate that includes the two buttons, one to pop open the hatch window (left hand side) and the other one (right hand side) opens the actual hatch door. The plate (trim) is loose and I am trying to determine how to tighten it. Thanks in advance.

First of all, thank you for having taken the time to provide me with this detailed information. I knew that I would more than likely have to remove the trim panel over the hatch door but I had no idea that so many other steps were going to be necessary. Yikes, it looks daunting. I am going to see what I can do. Thanks you again.

Hello. I thought that I would let you know what eventually happened. When I purchased the vehicle we were given an additional one year warranty beyond the normal 60, 000ks/36 months. So I approached my local Ford Dealership to address the problem since I am on my fourth year of the warranty period. They told me that the entire handle assembly had to be replaced because it was the assembly that was faulty not the mounting pins. They gave me an estimate of $710.00 and........to add insult to injury told me that my extra one year warranty did not cover that part. I contacted Ford Cuastomer Relationship Centre in Oakville Ontario and pled my case. They agreed to cover one half of the cost of the repair. Today the handle assembly was replaced. However......................when I got home and took a closer look at the inside of the hatch liftgate I saw that they did not reinstal the trim panel properly. On some of the edges the trim panel is one half inch away from the edge. Purely shoddy workmanship. Now I have to return....................again.................to the dealership to have them reinstal the trim panel and replace if necesssary whatever clips they may have broken the first time around. Yes I am pissed!
