This is a useful video of a dash cam install on a Mach-E, but lots of commonality with our BS. Shows details of the cable routing that I hadn't seen before.
The $60 fob's from eBay work well with the BS and can be programed by the owner. Figure another $30 for a locksmith to cut the key that fits in the fob.
I’m trying to add a dealer service receipt to “Service History” in the FordPass app as a scanned .pdf file. That used to work but the upload button seems to be missing. I can create a service record with date, mileage, etc but can’t upload the receipt. Any help on this? Tnx.
My previous vehicle before the BS was a Ford Escape Hybrid 4WD. I drove it for 15 years and 100k trouble free miles, just routine service, even had the original brakes. I loved it until the HV battery needed replacement, $10k from Ford. The only alternative batteries are rebuilds at $2k-4k with...
Same here. I normally like WeatherTech products but got tired of waiting on them to be available. Got the EGR instead and they are a perfect fit. I'm only using them on the front windows, no need for deflectors on the rears.
I did the sync install on a short drive, was about 10 min as you said. Did the map install just now on a charger after @Mark S. explained why that is necessary, took maybe 30 min but I wasn’t watching. So all up to date for now. Thanks for your help on this.
The link displays my specific VIN and order number so it’s unlikely to work for you. Just call the Ford number that was referenced above and explain you didn’t get the one free update. They are quick to respond. Unfortunately future updates are $100, so this is the last one for me.
I got an email from Ford today with a link for the one free map download. I don’t understand why the engine needs to be running to apply the Sync and map updates. Seems like having the electrical system on should be enough. Ford needs to take a lesson from Garmin on OTA updates.
Ford replied to me about my inability to DL the free map update, see below.
There was no change in "About Sync" display after the resets, exactly the same.
I did lose all my Navigation Favorites & radio presets after the reset, and most other settings go to default, a big hassle with nothing...
Mine's a '22.
I'll contact the Connected Services Team, I current have NAV 2 20.
Thanks for the help!
UPDATE: Spoke to Tyler at Connected Services Team. It appears that someone downloaded the update already using my VIN , that's why only the paid option appears for me. They agreed to...
