Cross bar adjustment/removal

I would like to adjust the placement of my cross bars. Does anyone know what tool is needed to loosen the bolt?

Are you referring to the stock one? I don’t believe they are adjustable. They are removable.

OEM crossbars are set at a defined distance. The feet have connections on the underside of the side rails. The screws are on the top. You can’t adjust the distance.
