I'm conflicted about the white letters on charcoal gray, it works okay in front, but I hate it on the liftgate. I'm about to debadge the rear "BRONCO sport" and just leave it plain. I bought a 3M eraser wheel and watched some Youtube videos, but this has some of the hallmarks of a project I might regret starting. Anybody else with a debadged charcoal gray and liking it?
Before you try the eraser wheel, you should try 3M Adhesive Remover. I bought a can a long time ago and use it every once in a while for things like this or when I get new tires and the wheel weights are removed and the adhesive is left behind. The other thing that is good to use with this remover is some plastic razor blades. Much less chance of causing paint damage.

A little hot hair dryer action will help as well.

Yes, we didn’t talk at all about getting the letter off first. What we were discussing was just getting the adhesive off the paint without causing any damage.

My favorite for getting badges off is some sun and dental floss.

The hair dryer trick helps there too! Softens up the adhesive.

For the front letters did they come off like the tailgate letters or did you have to remove the grill?
This came with all black letters from factory , they call it a first edition.

I'm going with vinyl overlay for front letters. Any thoughts on color for a Carbonized Grey BS, either Matte Black or Shiny Black letters?
I went for matte on my Carbonized Grey BS because it will match the bull bar and rear hitch bumperette that I'm installing. Even without the matching accessories, I think it's a better look.

I hated them too. I did live the idea though of a white outline to black letters. These are reflective black letters for the BS. Etsy has them as does ebay.

I have matte black vinyl letters, but still don't like the idea of white outlines. I'm considering painting the letters in carbonized grey to match the body color and then applying the black vinyl letters after the paint cures.

I like the white letter on the front, or the black with the white outline. all black on the grille looks terrible, but looks good on the back.
