The lack of an auto-dim mirror on the BB. I get its on higher packages but with Ford’s emphasis on driver visibility and driver safety with this model, adding that part would have been a nice bit. Now I need to figure out how to add it myself.

That's a great point, and another thing that I dislike.

Just small things they did to reduce costs. My BB only has one touch down driver side window. I wish it could do down and up. I have to scan my badge every time I go in and out of the garage at work. Slightly inconvenient to hold the window up.

Also wish the BB had the same headlights with the halo as the OBX and BL.

Y’know it’s funny just how used to some niceties you can get. Like an auto dimming mirror. I had a 90s (it was even green!) Chevy truck like 15 years ago with one & haven’t been without one since. It was such an odd addition there as the truck was otherwise pretty base without even tinted windows, but had this mirror. Guess they ran out of ‘normal’ mirrors that day at the plant & threw in auto dimming ones.

I was just thinking yesterday about how much I miss an actual shifter instead of the dial. It weird but I've caught myself a couple of times now pushing the on button and then just pushing the pedal expecting it to go, I have no idea why.

I'm adjusting to most of the oddities but there is two I do Not like about ford's. Stereo volume controls either on the back side of the steering wheel or on the right side of the wheel would be much preferred. A stalk for cruise on the right would be choice also. I'm so annoyed with having to take my left hand off the wheel and look down to find these buttons. Then they changed up the volume buttons from up being on top of down to them being side by side. Very inconvenient to me.

I hate the fact that my wife gets to drive it everyday, and I get to maybe drive it a few times over the weekend. :)

I HATE the shifter knob. I know it probably saves room, etc. etc., but I'd rather have a stick.
Yea the rotary knob is about my only gripe as well.

Id also like a way to change radio channels on the steering wheel.

Edit: Some helpful people on here shared with me how to do that. I cannot cycle through stations like I do on other family members cars, like I had to program them in a preset. Could still be doing it wrong, not too concerned with that though.

Sync 3 with Android Auto is spotty at best, the seat heaters don't remember the setting you had it on so it's either full blast or off, but other than that there is far more that I love and my gripes so far are mostly minor.

edit - oh, one more gripe. The "premium" sound system leaves something to be desired.

I've only had mine for a few weeks now, but not being able to permanently turn off auto start stop is the biggest thing I've found so far. I know there's a 3rd party adapter, but I shouldn't need to.

Happily, there isn’t anything I hate about my Big Bend.

In terms of minor annoyances:

- I get the “foghorn” backup noise. Based on various threads on this site, I don’t think it is a problem. I panicked about it when I logged on here the first time and saw threads about brake recalls and foghorn backups. Thankfully, they don't seem to be related.

- Android Auto / Ford Sync don’t play well with each other at times. When I got my BB, I spent a few hours getting these systems to work together correctly. Four weeks later I got a new phone and had to go through various setup issues all over again. Granted, this is a case of software versus software due to God knows how many possible phone/car/program configurations out there. However, I was hoping that going from one Galaxy phone to another wouldn't require me to redo all of the setup troubleshooting again.

- It would have been great to have a front camera option for BBs in general.

- As others have mentioned, the Auto-Start stop thing...but I get it. If Ford didn't MAKE it come on, then some folks would claim that Ford doesn't care about the environment. Conversely, if Ford made it where you couldn't turn it off at all, then some folks might refuse to buy the vehicle. They went for a compromise that also allows for the aftermarket shutoff adapter thing.

- The last one is truly not an issue that Ford can control. I am short, so I can't have the driver seat back too far before I am stretching to reach the pedals and the steering wheel. :cwl: That said, I am constantly hitting / getting my feet stuck against the lower pocket / shelf thing of the driver door when I get out. It isn't as bad if I can open the door the entire way, but between parking in a narrow bay at home, and narrow lines at stores, I rarely get a chance to fully open the door. This isn't the BB's fault by any means, but it does explain why my new vehicle already has a rich history of scuffs and stains in that one area. :cwl:
