I picked my Badlands up yesterday. It’s missing it as well. Although I’m not really sure the point of it.

edit: I see now it includes additional insulation. Maybe part of the premium package!

Whats even crazier is it’s missing the black roof! I’m actually happy about that. I wanted to order the gray roof but it wasn’t allowed.

22 OB, built 12/23/21, looks just like the picture in Post #1.
Likely a container full of them stacked up somewhere in CA.

The folks over on Bronco6G have a "list" of blown 2.7L engines.

Maybe we need to start one on "eliminated" parts for the BS.
1. engine cover
2. engine running light on stop/start button
3. folding rear seat head rests
4. temp setting on temp dials
5. pax side under dash cover
6. towing eye
Towing Eye Location (If Equipped) E265227 The towing eye is in the spare wheel storage tray. If your vehicle does not have a towing eye, one can be purchased at your dealer. Note: You must carry the towing eye in your vehicle at all times. Pg 266 of 2022 owners manual
You need to add “Black Roof” to the list!

I ordered the Hot Pepper Red, and if my roof wasn't painted black in my BL as I wanted it to be, I would be livid!

Just the opposite for me. I’m ecstatic. First thing that’s been left off I’m happy about!

Out of curiosity did you order the Premium package with your BL? I know the handles are painted body color if you get the premium package. Wonder if the black roof is a package only deal.

No premium package for me, so maybe.

Any other non premium Badlands owners out there with body colored roof?

Black roof is standard, ours has the optional gray roof.

I am going to throw up. My Badlands is on its way North and apparently all kinds of parts are falling off the train. First road trip is straight line to the Sonora Desert to look for my engine cover, hood insulator, roof rails, spare tire, ...

Did you get your missing dash panel replaced under warranty? Did the dealer say why the panel was missing on some vehicles?
Every Bronco Sport on the lot (4) was missing these parts - no explanation just apologies. Yes, the missing dash trim panel was paid for by Ford under warranty. However, the other parts were mine to buy. The parts department was able to pull my vehicle by VIN and noted the engine cover, hood insulation and tow eye parts were not part of the build for my vehicle.

Remember that if you have the factory tow package, the tow point is not accessible and tow eye is not included.

If you don't have the hitch, then the dealer should absolutely provide a tow eye if it is missing.

I will be able to get the missing Dash Panel Insulator replaced under warranty. That part is out of stock nationwide, likely why it shipped without it, but at least mine is on order. My dealer actually argued with me about replacing the part, I had to get a Ford Customer Support rep on the phone with the service department to get warranty replacement approved.

Update:

Do not need part number

Well guys. I bit the bullet and just found one / purchased one on Ebay for $42 bucks. I will get the new one that the dealer ordered "some day" and then swap them out and sell the old one on Ebay. I am just not as patient as I should be to wait on the part to finally hit the market. I want the new SUV to have all the parts installed and be done with the transaction so I can enjoy driving it. Sorry to hear that #Econoline had to fight the process....sad state really. Looks like this:

Agreed - they should provide it, but they will not....I had to buy mine for $43.61.
