Ford has a production formula that includes order date, model, and dealership size/sales history so typically orders coming from the large dealerships get pushed up in the build que... so I read in various articles.
Sounds like I should have just went to the "largest" Ford dealer I could find in Florida instead of ordering from the dealership I went to because they had one on the lot nearby. :frown:

How did you have yours spec'd? Ordered ours 10/26/21, build was pushed from 1/24-1/31, shipped on 2/16. BS BL prem package, tow package. If you did the 360+ those are taking longer due to chips is my understanding. I'm in DFW vs Houston so transport time shouldn't be to drastically different.
BS BL Prem Package, Cyber Orange, 235 Tires, no 360+. I think I might start a new search for a car. I am beyond frustrated.

I wish we had an actual Ford employee, who works in the BS assembly line, on this forum. Maybe then we'd ALL understand the build inconsistencies, delays, etc.
They are here they just don't speak up to keep their jobs.
It would take a book to write on the processes and how things get done at the plant. I can say it was started, built, and they built it far as they can then push/drive it to an area to get finished due to lack of parts.
Lets say for the sake of argument that they were short on door handles. They would build the car up to that point. Put the car together as much as possible. Then store the car and finish it when the parts came in. Problem is the car was not stored in an organized manner, first in first out.
This is why some are delayed like crazy and others are done right away. Factors like the level of car built vs the parts that trickle in from the supplier. Remember automotive manufactures don't make a lot of their parts they buy them. From brakes to switches to ECM's etc..
So when you got your response on its built really don't mean it was fully built, it may have some parts that are needed yet. It means that it came off the assembly line. Then there are other factors that I wont go into that delays the delivery.
Delivery takes time due to regional areas. Lets say 50 cars are going to Chicago. Car one would wait till car 50 got done so they ship all at once vs trickling it in.. This saves on shipping cost.
Ill stop here and let you guess how i know this.

Well this is new…”Final Preparation“ has replaces “Delivery”
Earlier today shipped was checked and was is final prep phase, but it went back to shipped.
This last stretch is brutal. I have reached out to my salesman to get railcar info, but no response. I probably won’t know anything until it arrives.
whats everyone else’s status?

Oh no - mine's gone horizontal!
Yeah, the "final prep" bit was written into the Maverick and F150 pages yesterday. Still doesn't mean much, tho...
But do wish I could log into the rail system thingy, but it doesn't like my .msn or .gmail addys. Ah well. Christmas 2022 anyone?

Edit - hit F12, and there's a new bit of code - at the end of each stage there's a new line that says "completed" or "in progress". I wonder if that "completed" actually means... completed? Hmmm.

None of it means much, it’s just nice to see anything different considering all the times I check with no changes. Hence why I look at it in portrait mode once in a while to see if it’ll show me more info, lol

I’m in the same status as you. Even funnier, they misspelled preparation.

I’m praying. Per the rail car info, it’s an hour away from the dealer just sitting there. I ordered in September.

How does that make any sense?
