At what time since the start of production did they drop the cover and change the knobs ? Also what did they change about the knobs ?
Engine covers and knobs are no longer on the 2022’s. The later 2021’s were missing the engine covers. The temperature setting is now displayed on the 8” screen.

The change took place at the model year change over for the knobs.

The 1.5 cover was dropped around the middle of 2021. The 2.0 cover was dropped at the beginning of 2022 production. The knobs also changed for 2022 production, they no longer display the temp in the center of the knob. The temp pops up on the sync screen when you adjust.
Also rear seat headrests do not fold on 2022s. If driver & pax have seats back very far headrests have to be removed to fold down rear seat. Fog lights are not included in plain Big Bend trim.

There were quite a few changes between model years. Some were advertised and some not. The big optional packages changed the most adding and subtracting items. The unannounced ones were the temperature setting reading going from the knobs to the display and the lack of a molded engine cover. I’m sure there are others but this is pretty common.

Placed BS OB order on October 4th. My February 21st build date got pushed to February 28th, and yesterday I got notice that it's been pushed again to March 7th.

I was feeling bad about my situation until I read these. Ouch!
Mine was being delivered Wednesday but due to all the ice and snow, it was pushed back a week.

Curious. I thought we had looked at a 21 BS BB and the backs of the back seats were rubber. Looks like on the 22 it is carpet but has snaps for the rubber. Did that become an option?

My 21 Big Bend had the rubber covers for the rear seats, and yes they snap on. Dealer didn't install so I had to do it, which was a PITA. Trick is to let everything heat up in the sun for pliability.

Hi all, I have a BS BB that I purchased off the lot in Sept. Fun. Anyway, I also have a Maverick on order since June. Per dealer it is at the railway in Mexico awaiting shipment with a estimated 2/21 delivery. Just yesterday it got pushed to 5/21, and not just me but a lot of orders that are on the MTC forum. I am just curious is that is happening to those here and their BS. I tried a search in case this has already been discussed. Found one in another thread but thought I start a new thread dedicated. If one has already been started, sorry.
My BS Outer Banks had a build date- week of Feb 21st. Just this morning, it got pushed back one week.

At this point, maybe I’ll just wait for the 2023 model to come out and cancel my 2022 order. Engine cover ?, temp knobs ?, probably Sync 4 ?
I gave dealer dsposit for OB order on Sep 13, 2021. Ordered as a 2022. Next word from dealer was OB was on a railcar in Chicago on Jan 25. Arrived at railhead on east coast of Canada on Feb 9.
Trucking to dealer ( 50 miles ) takes 2-3 days. So call it Feb 14
5 months to the day.

Order included trailer hitch. I hope it is actually on the car. ? Not expecting engine cover.
Salesman says no issues that would stop delivery as far as he knows.

I am in the same boat as many of you. I ordered 9/30/21. Original production date was 12/3 which got pushed back several times. It went into production on 1/8/22 with an estimate delivery of 2/13/22 which got pushed to 5/14/22. I received an email from Ford today saying my Badlands was built and now estimated delivery is 3/16/22.

I ordered the premium package, co-pilot 360+ , moonroof and tow package.

Hopefully many of you will receive the same email soon!!

That's just crazy... my order date is January 10th, and you and I have the same build date. How is that fair to you?!!!
