The First Edition used tires 235/65/17, is that really the largest tire that fit to a Badlands without any modification? I am not thinking on lifting my BL, but would like some lrger tires to fill the well, but properly.

Check with @Turtle21. Looks like he added LT245/65-17’s. No mention of modifications.

Better tire on wet road? Here in the Caribbean we do not have show, but hurricane season and rain. But good enough for ocasional off-roading.

Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus 245/65/17 , on stock rims

I've taken it off road, nothing crazy but it didn't have any rubbing issues during articulation.
If those are the tires in our profile image, they look bad ass!....REALLY dumb question, I just went with the stock 225 tires since factory tires tend to be shit anyway. I can swap those to at least the 235 and sounds like 245 without changing anything on the vehicle right?

235/65/17 and 245/65/17 will both fit on stock rims with no lift.

They are the tires in the picture.

Ford was quoted in a Car&Driver/Motor Trend article saying the largest tire you can fit on a Badlands or First Edition is a 30.5" tire. 245/65/17 are 29.5", so no need to modify anything if you go with that size.
