Rhino Rack Pioneer installed on BL+BL

Late reply, but wondering if there's any way to get a photo from inside looking out the moonroof with this attached? Mostly wondering if the rack impedes visibility or casts any shadows inside of it. This seems like the route I want to go once my BS arrives, but also don't want to cover up the moonroof.

Looks great! I installed a 60”x49” Pioneer Platform on my BL and like you say after several adjustments was able to get full clearance for the sunroof. Love how low profile it is, even with the standard spare tire mounted on top, still fits in my garage.

Con you tell us what adjustments you made to get full clearance?

The plugs for the holes actually came with the kit, so I can’t recall since I just measured and chose the drill size. Really just large enough to get Allen key through, maybe 1/4 inch. Maybe these photos can help.

What are the holes for? Do you need to drill for just the platform?

They are to tighten the bolts, and you do need to drill them out

is it still possible to open the rear door until it rest against the Anwing?

I saw in your garage a triathlon bike. I am a triathlete too and just ordered the same 60x49 plattform...Did you try the Rhino Bike carriers attached to the plattform? Are they safe for long distance travelling? Thanks for the great comments here. They were verhy helpful to make decisions in my equipment

Thanks for sharing this—it’s super helpful! I’m buying the rack used, and it originally came off a vehicle with backbone mounts. I purchased the SX legs separately (brand new) to make it fit my vehicle. Just to confirm, are those holes absolutely necessary before I go ahead and drill into it? I haven’t received the legs yet, so I haven’t started the install, but everything else seems pretty straightforward. I’ll likely need to grab some rubber plugs from the hardware store since I’m piecing this setup together myself.
