Since I haven’t seen too many mentions of Rhino Rack platforms on here I thought I’d post what I installed over the weekend. I wanted a lower profile platform rack that was still aluminum and light weight. Rhino rack has an option on their website for the BS but it runs the length of the roof and would cover the sunroof on my Badlands. After a lot of close measurements I figured I could mount the 52x49 and still have a full functioning sun roof. It’s close and took a little adjustment but here is the result!

That looks pretty good!
Do you have a link to that specific rack?
Thanks!

Looks great! I installed a 60”x49” Pioneer Platform on my BL and like you say after several adjustments was able to get full clearance for the sunroof. Love how low profile it is, even with the standard spare tire mounted on top, still fits in my garage.

The rack looks great, but I just wanted to let you know that I LOVE your pink vinyl!

Nice rack. Link to the SKU?
So here is the link for the 60x49 inch on Rhino Rack site: https://www.rhinorack.com/en-us/products/roof/roof-racks/pioneer-platform/pioneer-platform-60-x-49-unassembled-with-sx-legs_jc-00784
I actually purchased my rack through eTrailer.com who had all the parts in stock. Super nice and great customer service! Here is the eTrailer link: https://www.etrailer.com/Roof-Rack/Rhino-Rack/RR77AB.html. Don’t be confused by eTrailer’s notice of it not fitting a Bronco Sport, just hasn’t been updated on the eTrailer site yet.

There is a bit of noticeable wind noise. Closing the moonroof curtain helps quite a bit. I have the Rhino Rack wind fairing ordered and will see how much that helps. I have the KC HiLites LED curved 45” light bar mounted to the Pioneer Platform also, and was surprised it didn’t much if any additional wind noise. By the way KC HiLites has this 45” light bar on clearance at a great price! The mount spacing matched the side slots perfectly on the 49” wide platform.

I’m exploring options for installing the provided KC harness down the left A pillar. I found these 34 pages of Ford Performance instructions which indicate there is a factory installed wiring pigtail at the dash but requires installation through the roof right side rail. https://www.fordracingparts.com/download/instructionsheets/IS_M-15200K-CXR_022321.PDF

Correction! Looking to install down RIGHT A pillar, Ford instructions use LEFT A pillar. Need more coffee! 😂

That looks really great! I have the factory crossbars but they're too tall and a bit too narrow. I can't fit 2 kayak racks and my canopy on them. This platform would be perfect.
