Well I snapped the sway bar link drop bracket on a mild 2/10 off road trail. One side fully snapped off and disconnected and the other side seriously bent.

I have gone back to the OEM sway bar end links without the drop bracket. As far as I can tell this should work fine as the 2 other kits a available don’t use a drop bracket or shortened links?

the steering with the oem links is far far better and slightly better but still bumpy ride quality.

also as far as I know that when you increase lift you would want to extend your sway bar end links not shorten them. The rough country is about 4 inches shorter than the ford pieces and far far worse quality.

Same thing happened to me. Except I purchased my vehicle from Carvana and my mechanic thinks it was broken coming off the car hauler. Maybe dropped it too hard.
Didn't realize it was lifted until everyone at the Ford dealership was scratching their heads trying to figure out what part it was.
I purchased the broken link and hoping that’s all that needs to be repaired/replaced. Ford recommended maybe taking the whole kit off but then I realized that it being lifted just gives it such a better look. Needless to say I’m not happy.

Again, I am a strong believer in waiting and not installing the first to the gate companies. They go for the cash until the stronger manufacturers come out with stuff with enough RandD…like Baja forged etc

In the breakage incident of the OP, looking at the photos, the kit looks to be incorrectly installed.

In photo set Katietime posted, showing one of the Rough Country tie rod brackets has broken in half. The bracket looks like it was correctly installed. What you don't know is if the tie rods were set for the proper length for installation.
Did the same happen on the other side of the vehicle?

Having similar problems with rough Country's lift. The links are already gone and I really never trusted that drop bracket from the moment i installed it. I got in touch with HRG Enginnering and there shortenes sway bar links connect right to OEM location and works with the rough country 1.5 lift. No cutting and no drop bracket required. Waiting for links to come in right now. Hope this helps.

The other side finally broke too. I took a soft turn going less than 25mph and heard it snap. I had it replaced but if it happens again I’m having the kit removed.
