Just wanted to share my experience and see if anyone else is dealing with the mounting number of issues that I am dealing with my 2023 Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks.

From the rear callipers making obnoxious noises when cooler air to two failed water pumps, these issues never seem to end.

I am now going in for my 5th! Time regarding ABS fault /A Christmas tree of lights due to what I thought was a failed speed sensor.

Although the sensor was replaced I am still having the same issues. Now my local dealership is telling me that the wires for the sensor are being corroded at different places, yet the only way to know if it fails is once all the lights start to come.

I have had the vehicle fixed again today due to another part of the wire that corroded.

I have also been told that due to wear and tear of this 2 and half year vehicle 83000km there is nothing that can be done as it’s normal for any car.

If the issue does happen again, I am told that the entire wire harness would have to be replaced…..

I was always under the impression that these harnesses are protected from the elements/ harsh conditions for Atleast 5-10 years maybe longer before they begin to deteriorate.

Overall, just wondering if anyone else is facing these same issues.

10+ years for a wire harness is a valid expectation

I don’t know the area you live in but seems like the dealership should have done more for you - they are telling you it’s normal - I don’t believe that

Residing in Toronto Canada so salt is always an issue that being said, I have driven plenty of cars a lot older that had never had an issues like this.

Manager also said maybe it’s an Animal (squirrel) chewing on the wire

Yet I park strictly in the garage along with my wives car so, unless I have a mouse who loves the colour blue- I’m out of luck.

Rodent damage was my guess as well - check around the vehicle with a strong flashlight to look for evidence

Often rodents chew the wiring as a source to build a nest - a common place for the nest is the cabin air filter so pull out the cabin air filter and look there

One recent report on this forum the rodents got into the headliner

To see other owners reports search on this forum

Here’s a search for “rodent” but there’s also posts about mice, etc.
