This is actual boomer speak.
Get with the times grandpa, 4 bangers are loud and cool. Shelby didnt have 4 cylinders making over 500hp in his generation.
Nope. A loud four banger just reeks of boy racer that can’t afford a real V8.

I’m not the one trying to pretend mine is something it’s not, nor was intended to be. I also haven’t relied on an appeal to authority fallacy, as I’m just stating my opinion and provided a simple fact.

Sure, they can be worked on, but are still essentially disposable at the end of the day, with no real hope of survival beyond 15-20 years, while you can still endlessly rebuild big and small V-blocks from 70 years ago.
Why do you care so much about what someone has done with their own stuff lol.
Sounds like your projecting your own lack of free will and whimsy to do said things with their cars.
i love my 3rd gen viper son but end of the day i have fun with my rally car lol.
Perhaps reply somewhere else instead of seeking small bites of attention on a post specifically over tuning said bronco? End of the day this car has the same 2.0 engine as the focus St and the awd system of the RS minus the stickshift. Power and performance options are out there lol. If they werent ford wouldnt be selling their own performance options for the maverick which is the same vehicle as the bronco

Cause this feral bronco is tuned and making 350hp and somewhere around 400+ ft-lb of torque.
Its a rally car
Very cool mod! Yours is the most original mod I’ve seen for the Bronco Sport 2.0L significantly increasing HP and torque

The 8F35 Transmission specs state
Torque Capacity: Approximately 350 Nm (258 lb-ft)

Can you comment on your mod 400+ vs the 8f35 258 lb-ft torque capacity spec and what impact the mod would have on the transmission?

Dont need to afford a v8, i got a v10 in the garage, plus i got whimsy in my life which allows me to boy race as much as i want with my daily, end of the day ur driving the same car and mines is faster then yours and smokes 5.0 mustangs.
All i see are boomers like yall that care more about things that dont concern you, if you dont like it go reply to a thread about warranty or something? Sounds up yalls alley

Ya, as a master tech, you should also know that the stock output of the Badlands already surpasses the maximum torque of the 8F35, by almost 15%.

If you’re doing power mods, I’m incredibly curious as to what your plan is with the pathetic transmission they have paired to the 2.0.

That downpipe is a nice piece if you live in a state with lax emissions regulations.
Used to do that kind of stuff a long tme ago, swapping out the catalytic converter with a "test pipe". Doing that alone didn't really provide a performance gain, just more sound which made you think you had something.

Also, where your dyno sheet showing the 350/400?

Anyone can say anything they want, post that dyno sheet, otherwise, I’m calling BS on this one.

I've been tuned like this since 7k and i just hit 50k miles, my transmission is great and has no issues, hell it loves doing fwd burnouts before the awd kicks in and launches her forward. Just like my focus RS i just change all fluids every 30k miles, from transmission to ptu and the rdu. Maverick boys have already been putting that kinda power down for a while with zero issues. Ford is always going to downplay any specs because of bean counters and concepts of warranty repair.

Your going off paperwork but fail to acknowledge the tons of maverick users with the same amount of power or more on the same transmission. Some of them are even running hybrid turbo set ups for big power gains.
If you knew anything about mechanics youd know the specs listed are mainly for the bean counters wanting to skirt warranty by suggesting something as simple as a light tow "overstressed" the transmission.
Do some people wake up one day and have issues? Sure but mines hasnt for 5 years now

Times have changed man, everything is computer calculated. You could put every item in the book to even a big turbo. Unless you tune it the car will limit itself. With catless on turbo cars you always see a net gain in power and torque when tuned for
