Bought a bronco sport from the dealership a year ago and have taken it in 5 times in the past year for transmission shudder in lower gears id say between 2 and 3 going about 20mph and under. Warranty covered having the transmission serviced twice and a new transmission accumulator installed out of pocket. So far theyve replaced the torque converter and pump twice with no resolve. Took it back to them for a day and got it back not fixed again and was told that was just how they are and its a current problem that ford doesnt have a solution for yet and was told to use sport mode and i notice in sport mode it still has the same problem along with a hard auto start and stop when engaged. Also was told that even the newest year bronco sport has the same problem off the lot. Just curious if anyone else has had the same problem and if anyone has found a solution or if i need to take a different route. Spent way too much money on this car to be told that the car has problems and ford cant fix it and to be told to just keep driving it till there is a fix if they ever find one. Thank you.

How many miles are on the vehicle?

It sounds like torque converter shudder. Not transmission shudder.

See this link.

I have ‘21 FE 65k miles.
I’ve done 2 transmission service at 30k and 60k. No issues of shuddering so far.
I replaced my rear diff fluid once and upgraded the breather tube.

Unless that mechanic can back up his claims with a TSB or other document, I won’t believe it’s a common problem and we need to live with it.

Try an anti friction additive.
