It may be the color.I wonder what I picked that was wrong? My order date is Aug 17 for a BL+BL in Rapid Red (although I think they may have used up the paint on all those F-150 and Rangers I'm seeing). At this date I hopefully will be scheduled for a Feb build because I will be sunning myself in Florida during Feb and March and I'd like to be home when it arrives.
Kodiak Brown is probably the hold-up. It was for the new F-150, the last time I looked.

Besides.. it probably being a bit unfair to the rest of the people who ordered early... we're happy you got the golden ticket.
How does it work that if you didn't have a reservation?... Does that mean the dealer ordered it and linked it to your ford account?
I went to the dealer in person and they submitted the order directly through their system. I am getting the email updates, but the order is not currently linked to my ford account (maybe takes some time to update since I kind of did things in reverse order.)

The reservation wasn't anything other than a way to link you with a local dealer. The only thing that put you into any kind of queue was the dealer placing the order. After that there's a variety of factors that go into scheduling. The most unfair, for customers, is the way they allocate orders to dealers.
I did the same thing. I wanted to test drive an escape, it's been a long while since I've driven a Ford.
I couldn't bring myself to do the slate on the interior... went with black myself... too many dogs / clumsy humans (LOL) in my house to risk the stains that have plagued the tan interior on my current Ford. Also, until just very recently when I saw a video give a good view of it, the build & price made the seat color look much more slate blue than slate gray. Glad to see someone took the risk.
