Hey everyone, I'm looking for a lift kit for my OB edition. I'm looking for a 1.5 kit for 17x7.5 +35 wheels/245/65R17 tires. I was wanting to take it to RTR for their package deal but I don't want billet spacers. I found a rough country kit with the shocks but read bad things about rough country. Any advice will be appreciated, tia.

I have heard some pretty good things about Eibach's spring lift. If you search "Eibach Spring lift" up top some stuff should pop up. That is what I plan on doing when I am ready to lift mine.

As a side note, you don't necessarily need a lift to fit 245/65r17 tires. I put some BFG KO2's on in that size and there isn't any rubbing at all at stock height. I've seen others on here say they have went bigger with no issues but I can not confirm nor deny that is with or without a lift.

I looked them up and like them a lot I'll probably roll with those!

The Rough Country complete lift that has replacement struts and shocks has decent reviews, obviously it cost a bit more than the spacer style lifts out there but it's a real change over.
The inital Rough Country spacer lift for the Sport had some bad reviews, a number of the issues were caused from incorrect installation.

Several manufacturer's are out there, the majority of the spacer lifts are basically the same, they vary by using different material ie: aluminum vs. Steel and in manufacturing quality.

Next come the spring lift, Eibach is currenty the only manufacturer that makes replacement springs front and rear for the Sport that work with the stock struts and shocks.

Complete suspension swap. Flatout suspension makes a hybrid kit, spacers front and rear springs as well as a complete coil over type kit for the Sport.

You just need to figure what's important to you and your budget.

I went with the Rough Country kit for my BB. Mine has 55k so my thought was it's about time to change out the struts and springs anyway, especially if I'm intend to keep this rig for a while. Although not everyone's "cup of tea", I prefer a firmer ride which this kit delivered. I also learned I used to have a bit of body roll which I wasn't aware of before I installed this kit and no longer have. I personally could not be happier with my decision to go with the Rough Country lift kit. It's a game changer IMHO

I'm running the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 245/65R17XL on my BS 21 Badlands with no lift and no issue at all. Love those tires.

I’ve heard great things about that tire. I think 245/65 is the perfect size for this little truck.

I agree with the size, more fitting for the little 4x4, I went with Mickey Thompson Baja Boss in that exact size. World of difference in deep snow as opposed to the BF Goodrich Train Terrains and I won't even get into the lousy Conties it came with
