So my Bronco sport battery quit on me, without any sort of warning. Auto stop was working fine. Parked my car and got out for 5 minutes and when I came back, it wouldn't crank. Got a message on the screen stating non essential systems where shutting down to save power. Everything went pitch black. So I had to call road assist for a jump start since it was more difficult to have it towed to the dealer, less than a mile away. They replaced the battery and rear shocks under warranty. Somehow they were leaking. Now the issue was I had an annoying 5 times chime that would happen everytime I started my car after the battery replacement. No dashboard lights with the Chime but it would randomly start as I did a long trip today. Anyone had a similar issue? It was driving me nuts, so I tried two things, turning on but not starting the car for a moment, then turning it off and turning it on again, then pressing the "ok" button on the steering. Now the chime is gone. Not sure if it was the Ok or the cycling but somehow it fixed the issue.

There is a procedure that eliminates the chime but it will also go away on its own. It likely won’t come back.
And the leaking rear shocks isn’t unusual.

Is the chime sound coming through the speakers? If I recall, the system uses a piezo speaker for the chime when battery power is low.

Yes it is coming through the speakers. Already stopped so @Dude was right.

I recently had to replace my original battery... I was at about 2 years and 28000K miles.... I guess the days of 60month batteries are of a gone by era, lol.

I may be saying this wrong but others had complained of having to replace their original batteries sooner than expected... because they are using old acid type batteries (?) as opposed to the newer more robust AGM batteries.. which I ended up purchasing... eek they are about double what a regular battery cost...

I may invest in a battery saver to hook up when my Bronco is parked to help save the battery... even if its only for overnight : (
