We keep hearing about this is wrong, or that is wrong. Are there any BS owners out there without any issues? I’ve had my 2024 BS Badlands for two months and I’d really like to hear some positivity. It was difficult for me to come over to Ford as it is (20 years a Jeep person and before that Subaru). I am really liking my Bronco Sport but I’m getting nervous that I may have made a bad move.

Bought my BB last December with 48k, has 53k now and the only problem I have encountered is that I live in an apartment (gravel driveway) and have no place to do my own mods! I did get/did the PCM recall (although I was not experiencing any issues) and I know there is one for injector replacement, but again, I'm not experiencing any issues. I also figured that 53k was long enough for the spark plugs, (factory Ford plugs were in there) so I just changed those Tuesday and I'm replacing the cabin air filter later this afternoon.

I have a 21 with 50k and a 24 with 1k both Big Bends. No issues with either. I am a retired mechanic and keep right up with preventative maintenance measures. I do find the 24 to be a more refined unit, no oil cooler on the 1.5, a little quieter and better economy.

bought our 2023 BB in January. absolutely no problems. driven mainly highway miles. round trips to Tucson, LA, about 5 trips to Tahoe, all from SF. sits in our driveway until the next highway trip. 34mpg average. traded in our renegade for this and no regrets

I'd like to say my '24 Badlands is perfect. It has experienced a couple minor intermittent oddities. Battery running into Sleep mode after a few days of sitting in the garage - no lights left on accidentally. This was addressed by a recall (24S24), which didn't take much time to implement at the dealership and wasn't much of an inconvenience.
Recently, on a couple of drives, I received a Key not found error popped up while driving. Very strange. Changing the battery in the Key Fob made no difference as the error popped up once after the new battery was installed. Could it have been affected by the junk I have in the lower package tray? Possibly. I have a key chain, am aluminum flashlight, and maybe some loose change. Under the rubber mat of this lower is a sensor for reading the Key Fob. Perhaps the metallic objects I had there caused this.
Another oddity is the HVAC system. I usually operate my HVAC manually, rarely using the AC, and preferring the windows open on even the hottest days (90+). A couple of times, when the OAT was 71 and 73F , the AC compressor was blowing very cold air from the vents. The AC light on the dash was not lit and the HVAC I was not in Auto mode. It has happened Intermittently, not repeatable, so unlikely a service visit would resolve it unless I could find a condition that made it repeatable. I wonder if the cause was it happened on days of high humidity. On my previous car, '17 Escape), I kept the HVAC temp at 66F, even though I was operating it manually. It did not blow cold air when operated that way.

Factory ordered 2022 BB, 2 1/2 years and 84000km later- no issues (other than an accident claim), 4 major long distance trips and trailer towing - no issues and going strong!

Over 2 years without any issues so far. Have just over 12k in miles.

I sometimes have glitches but they are not often enough to worry about.

Only 14K on our 2022 Badlands, purchased in late October '22. Only service has been the two oil changes.

EDIT TO ADD: I forgot to include that they did the 24S24/24V267 battery/PCM service while it was there for the last oil change, but only because it was recommended, not because we had experienced any issues with the battery. We did buy our car during the time that they were installing lead-acid due to shortages of AGM. I wish we had the AGM, but we needed a car.

I've had my o/b for 2 yrs now and I would have to say it's been a great experience so far. Other than the recalls, my dealership came to the house and did the recalls on both occasions. So far So good,

26 months and 18,600 miles with my 2022 Big Bend (1.5 engine). Problem free other than the annoying rear brake squeal. I love my Bronco Sport and every day I am happy I ordered it. My wife loves it too and wishes she had one.

It seems that every year my 2021 BS BL puts up a warning on the dash that it wants an oil change, so I take it to the dealer and use my Ford Points. Works fine for another year and then it happens again. Does that count?
No. I probably should have given better examples. I don't mean maintenance stuff. I just change my own oil when the interval hits. I keep an eye on the other fluids and consumables like I do with any car I've had.

I have the 2.0 so no, I don't burn through water pumps. I don't have three or four engine recalls. I have added some coolant since I bought the car. Once. I don't feel like there is a leak though. If I had the 1.5, this might make me feel worse about the car.

Yes, I've replaced blown bulbs. I think it's fine that the car has non-LED bulbs. But to have two go out in under two years seems bad, but I don't think Ford uses better or worse bulbs than anyone else. I replaced the stock ones with Sylvania LL bulbs I had on hand.

Yes, the battery is crap and I've had to baby it much more than other cars I've owned. I put it on a charger when the ASS system quits or I see a voltage drop or consistently high charging. It's been three years and I only expect a battery to last 6-7. Any battery. So I will deal with it until I can't restore it anymore. Sure beats throwing it away.

Yes, the brakes sometimes do the whale sound. I can start throwing parts at that or just wait for something like 70k and they'll need service/upgrade anyhow. It's more embarrassing for Ford than me but I've had other cars with squealey brakes on every forward stop. This is much more tolerable.

Yes, the car is a bit of a rattle trap. It's held together with tape and plastic parts. This is what I say isn't unique to Ford. They're all built with cheap garbage materials. But the options are to pick up a car from the 1960s or 1980s and have those decade's issues but with metal screws and rivets to stop rattles, or have a modern car and deal with modern issues. I choose modern.

Yes, the electronics and sync suck. Ford is behind other big names when it comes to tech. It takes forever and a day for the built in system to ready navigation, voice commands and music drives. I've heard rumors you can disable some features and possibly speed it up some. I just deal with it. I've had the issues where the windows don't one-touch or the liftgate lock quits working. I take the simple steps found here on the forum to reset them and they're good to go for quite a long while. I think that goes back to poor tech, but at least the resolution is easy and doesn't require a service visit.
