Recovery Board Storage

Just got some crossbars for the top of my '21 Big Bend. I have recovery boards as I drive onto the beach every Summer (used my step dad's for the past couple years)

I would really like to put the recovery boards on the crossbars for storage but many of the ideas are using roof cargo baskets. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to store them with the crossbars. Not against purchasing some kind of mounting kit, just don't want to go full-boar with the basket at this point. I would if I had to.

Obviously depending on the brand of your recovery boards, these are the mounts I ended up buying. My application is a little different because the mounts are embedded in the lid of a case, but the product itself advertises being used in line across a single cross bar which might work for you.

Looks great! I'm still in the process of figuring it out. Just not sure what to do with them at this point. Just would really like them to be on the outside of the vehicle when I'm on the beach to maximize interior storage for coolers, etc.
