You finished your stint eight years before I joined. I did 20 years for the pension, but discovered the lifelong health care coverage is far more valuable. Cheers brother!1969 to 1972 SEA and England AFB.
Awesome photos, thanks for sharing!
Definitely the tires and lift. When I was running Toyo 245s on my BL it was getting about 2-3mpg less than my wife’s BL running Falken 235s. Tire size and weight does in fact impact acceleration and mpg contrary to what people post on here saying they don’t notice a difference.Upon my return I had gotten 33 mpg. Now back at home it varies between 28.5 to 30 mpg. Mostly the 28.5 because where I live is not flat. However, my BS BB only got 26.2. I am well pleased. Part of the difference may have been the bigger tires (245'2) and the stupid 1.5 inch "lift". I am not putting anyone down that did the same thing I did. I actually was just trying to get it levelled but they said it had to have between 1.5 to 2 inches between the front and rear. My Badlands rides so much better but it might have been the tires and lift that made the difference.
